WOW, every day, we are learning about more new gadgets that are being created with high technology to help our seniors stay connected.

Verizon thought of it all when they created this watch for our Senior’s health and protection. You may be asking what is this Verizon Care Smart Watch?  It’s a wearable watched designed to keep you connected to elderly loved ones!

We all know life has truly changed for us all and, more importantly, for our parents and grandparents. When they walk out that door, the first thing I think about is, are they safe, will they return, and if they need me or any family  member will they be able to connect with us when they need us at any time!

A few weeks ago, I learned about Verizon’s new Care Smart Watch and let me go on record to say. This is one smartwatch, and every senior should have one!

Once you take your watch out the of the box, you will see your wearable watch,  extra band, charging cord, and manual. The first thing to do is to charge your device and download the app on your designated cellphone. Make sure your iPhone is a six or older model with the latest version of iOS. Once the download has completed, you can start to pair your watch and iPhone.

At a reasonable price of  $149.00 at Verizon, the Care Smart watch comes with its own phone number and an easy to use companion app. It took me no time to set up my watch, I created a Care Smart account, and it took me step by step, so no need to worry about the set up its an easy peasy step, even for your parents to setup!

You will have the ability to store up to 10 contacts, with one of them being designated as a primary emergency contact. Just  hold down the emergency button for four seconds, and it will dial the emergency contact. This is a very important feature!! I added my oldest daughter Alissa as my emergency contact; see how it shows her name.

Let’s say one of your parents/grandparents had an accident or an emergency, he or she can call that primary person for help or move on to connect with the next person in their contact list. You can even set timers and alerts to remind your seniors about daily tasks like Dr. appts, medication, and there is also a step tracker to monitor their daily exercise, location tracking, and voice & text communications through a companion.

You can see right where mom or dad is or when they arrive home, all due to the Care Smart’s location sharing. Remember, everyone listed in your contact needs to have the Care Smart app in order to track their location, or you can track their location and set time or location-based alerts also.

There’s so much to this awesome Verizon New Care Smart Watch For Seniors that I can’t just pinpoint it all today. Plus, I need to charge my watch completely. This is a must when you receive your new Care Smart Watch!

So, for the next few months, I will be sharing more details about the Verizon New Care Smart Watch For Seniors, but until than, visit Verizon here to see how you can grab your watch for your elderly loved ones.

  • In my opinion, this watch sounds better and more thorough than the Life Alert. I would feel better if my loved one owned one of these watches. Owning this watch would give us piece of mine and would let our loved ones still have a sense of being on their own – to keep their individuality! It looks like it would go with any outfit.
I pinned and shared! Thank you for sharing!!
