May Is Mental Health Awareness Month and Doctor On Demand Will Cover Video Visits For All Members! #AD @doctorondemand  #LiveLifeWell

BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! The story of my life. Now-a-days that is the story of most of our lives. In some cases that is a good thing! Make sure everything gets done right? Work before play, right? Maybe all work, no play? The problem is, no matter how we use our time we tend to avoid the time to take care of ourselves until something is really wrong. By the time we need to go to the doctor there is about a week’s wait.  Then we would have to think about transportation, schedule conflicts and a lot of cases call for baby sitters!

Well, look no further! Doctor On Demand is an amazing service that does exactly what it sounds like! Anytime, anywhere, with the Doctor On Demand application on your phone or PC you can connect with a licensed physician for any of your medical needs. My focus with this post is to express how anyone can connect with a psychiatrist 24/7, 365 days. A lot of our young adults now-a-days are crying out for an ear to listen. They are seeking advice. Some too afraid to go seek help and others just don’t know how. Doctor On Demand has heard you. From the comfort of your own room you can have the same conversation you would have in a private office!

Mental health is more than just what your mind is going through. The grieving of the loss of a loved one, anxiety from stressing, trouble concentrating, being haunted by traumatic events, relationship counseling and even obsessions. The mind is very strong but also extremely fragile and needs to be take care of but most importantly PROTECTED. The same way an ankle sprain needs ice and elevation, the brain can be injured with the everyday events that tend to weigh us down. Don’t let it build up. Talk it out. Doctor On Demand is your ear and advice in your time of need.

Mental Health Awareness Month is upon us and people of all shapes, ages, colors and sizes overlook the maintenance and stability of what goes on in their everyday lives. A explanation from A to Z about Doctor On Demand can be found at “Mom, Money and Mental Health”  but I will speak on my personal experiences:

Since I have suffered from panic attacks and anxiety stress disorder for many years since my injury, I have yet to speak to anyone about my medical health issues and concerns until today. I had a chance to try out Doctor On Demand website and WOW! I love how easy the site was to navigate and once I selected see “Medical Doctor Now” I was soon connected to a licensed physician!

I wasn’t sure how everything was going to work out, but I was excited to speak on a major mental health, medical issues I have been dealing with for years. Soon I was connected with Dr. Richard Fasanello

When I say I was a little fearful I was, all because I didn’t want him to say Lisa you have a major medical mental health issue. As I stated above I have panic attacks and anxiety attacks that sometimes takes me over and limit my life. But things were different with Dr. Fasanello, he opened my eyes to scenarios I’ve never thought about that could help me, like seeing a Behavior Therapy Doctor, or even maybe taking Contingent behavior training with a doctor to help me retrain my thoughts, he also showed me what many doctors call the 4-2-4 breathing system. I must say I have never, ever felt so confident about myself after speaking with Dr. Fasanello. I know how serious mental health is and I’m so overjoyed to know that Doctor On Demand can help address mental health issues via video. I do intend to reach out to a behavior therapy doctor off the Doctor On Demand website very soon!

I don’t want to leave out ALL of the amazing things that Doctor On Demand offers! Not only are physicians available by phone, but they are available via video conferencing! What could be more personal?! The willingness to assist people with and without health insurance is another amazing perk that comes with using Doctor On Demand!

When available, physicians can subscribe prescriptions to the nearest pharmacy near you! The help starts with you! Visit Doctor On Demand.com and take the first step to overall help! Overall peace! Overall mental stabilization. Don’t wait until you NEED to go to doctor because Doctor On Demand is here for anything!

Disclosure: “I was given a complimentary trial of Doctor On Demand’s services, but all opinions are my own.

  • When I first heard about Doctor on Demand, I thought it was a novel idea but I would never let a doctor diagnose me without actually seeing me in person. However, I never thought about it from the mental health perspective. People are weary of seeing a mental health care professional because of the stigma related to walking into the building but if you could do it from the privacy of your own home, I think a lot more people might be inclined to get the help they need. What a wonderful service.

  • So convenient. I loathe the wasted time trying to see a doctor, between transit, parking, and the dreaded wait time in both the waiting room, and exam room. And I’m glad their services encompass all types of health issues.

  • Having a doctor or medical professional on demand when you need it is awesome. Mental health is typically something that still has a bit of taboo to it so it is good to see people speaking about it openly.

  • Oh my goodness! I found your article so interesting on so many levels. The Doctor on Demand app sounds wonderful! I think it is easier to talk to someone in the privacy of your own home first. What a great idea! I also connected with the stress and anxiety. My daughter is in college and oh my, she has been having stomach issues, she can’t sleep, etc. Anxiety can really cause great harm to the body. I’m going to show her this article and maybe she can try the 4-2-4 method. We’ll look it up. I think sometimes it helps just knowing you are not alone.
    Thanks.

  • I know this sounds weird but once you use it, lifesaver. Perfect for elderly or if your young child is sick and you don’t want to take them out of the house. I would say in emergencies obviously you need to venture out but for smaller appointments.

  • I have been seeing a lot of articles and reviews about Doctor on Demand app. This seems to be a very convenient service for families who live far from a hospital or clinic. I think I will take advantage of this service too, because I do not like standing in line and waiting for a doctor to see me. This is good news really for me and my family.

  • Having a doctor speaking to you online by video conferencing is so cool. This is a great thing since we don’t need to travel far or look far to speak to a professional physician. The idea is really innovative.

  • This is the first time I’ve heard of Doctor on Demand and my goodness, what a service. I think especially of those who may be in a crisis or don’t seek treatment because it’s hard to leave their houses, or they don’t want to go to a physical clinic. What a cool world we live in

  • This is awesome! I suffer from anxiety as well and sometimes convincing myself to make a doctors appointment is the hardest thing to do. I would definitely use this service and I think it’s a great resource for anyone suffering with a mental illness who may not be ready or able to leave their home or talk to a doctor in person. Thanks for making me aware of this, I’m downloading the app now!

  • I keep hearing about this and the idea of this is so cool. As someone who has been to the doctor a billion times, I would love to be able to just talk to them from home like the old days. Housecalls are way more convenient especially when you are feeling sick.

  • I would love the convenience of having a doctor on demand. There is nothing worse than trying to get dressed and drive to the doctor when you are sick. I can’t wait to get started.

  • Mental health is so important, and we should do all that we can in order to take care of ours. I’m glad that there are online options (since we’re online so often anyway) for folks who may not have the ability or fortitude to leave their homes.

  • I have heard about Doctor on Demand but I have not used it. It seems like a great service to use to get medical advice without have to drive in to the doctor. This would be especially helpful in rural areas.
