iGarden Intelligent Lawn Mower L Series Review Is This Smart Mower Really Worth It
Once again, we have the opportunity to work with the iGarden brand again by reviewing one of the iGarden Lawn Mower L Series units and let me start by saying… WOW. It is beyond impressive.
As someone who loves, and I mean loves all things tech, I couldn’t wait to share this with our audience. With all the storms and even tornado warnings we have been dealing with lately, I had to wait for the right moment to really sit down and go through everything. And honestly, that gave me the perfect chance to take my time with the setup. When your iGarden Lawn Mower L Series arrives, everything was packaged really well and packed securely. The mower was secured in place with sturdy inserts along the sides for stability and wrapped in foam to keep it protected during shipping.
My husband usually handles the yardwork while I take care of everything inside, but there are times I like to go out and help. So, when I saw the iGarden Lawn Mower L Series, I immediately thought this would be the perfect opportunity for both of us to step back a bit and let this unit do exactly what it is designed to do.
Before getting into setup, I took a moment to look into what really makes this mower stand out, and there are a few things that really caught my attention right away. From what’s been released so far, this unit comes with some pretty advanced features that you don’t normally see in traditional lawn mowers.
Up to 8 hours of runtime on a single charge
Ability to handle slopes up to 70%, which is pretty steep
Uses LiDAR along with AI camera technology for mapping and navigation
No boundary wires needed, which is a huge plus
These are the kinds of features that really made me excited to see how this mower performs in a real everyday setting.

Right out of the box, everything is packed neatly and easy to go through. Before setting anything up, I always like to take a minute to see exactly what’s included so I know I’m not missing anything.

Everything was straightforward, nothing complicated, and it was easy to identify each piece. The charging base and power adapter are the main parts you’ll need right away for setup.
Unboxing and First Setup Experience
When we first took the wireless lawn mower out of the box, we focused on getting everything set up properly before using it. This is not something you just turn on and start using right away. There are a few steps that need to be done first, especially if you want everything to run smoothly.
Charging the Mower for the First Time
The mower does come with some charge out of the box, but not enough to actually use it. The first step is placing it on the charging base and letting it fully charge.
For setup, I plugged the charging base directly into a wall outlet inside my home. Since the unit needs WiFi to connect, doing this indoors made everything a lot easier and more stable.
The charging base has two prongs, and the mower connects to those through its contact points. At first, I wasn’t exactly sure how it should sit, but one thing I learned quickly is that you do not push it down onto the prongs. Instead, you gently place it and let it line up naturally so the contacts meet.
It may take a small adjustment forward or backward for it to sit correctly. Once it lines up, it will rest in place and begin charging. There’s no need to force it at all.
Our next move was to connect to WiFi
During setup, the mower needs to connect to your home WiFi. Keeping everything indoors during this step really helps avoid connection issues and makes the process go a lot smoother. This is an important step before moving forward with using the mower. You do have the option to control the mower by using your phone
Initial Setup Notes
There are a few important things to keep in mind during setup:
The mower should be fully charged before first use
The unit connects through a charging base with contact prongs
Proper alignment is needed for charging
The mower should not be forced onto the base
WiFi setup is much easier when done indoors
You may need to slightly adjust the mower, so it lines up and begins charging

At this point, the mower is placed on the charging base and is currently charging. Once it reaches a full charge, we’ll be moving on to the next steps and putting it to the test outside.
How to determine if the mower is fully charged, look on the mower itself,
Look for:
A solid green light (common for full charge)
Or the charging light stops blinking and stays steady
Blinking = charging
Solid = fully charged
Downloading the iGarden App
Okay, your next step is to make sure you download the iGarden app, which you can find in the Apple Store or Google Play.
Make sure to follow all of the prompts during setup, because this is how you will control your mower. Everything runs through the app, so this step is important.
The setup process is actually very easy and straightforward. Once you create your account and get everything connected, you’ll be able to access and control your mower right from your phone.
How Mapping Works with the iGarden Lawn Mower
One of the next steps in the setup process is getting your iGarden mower ready for navigation. Depending on the model, this may include mapping out your yard or allowing the mower to learn the layout as it works.
This part is important because it helps the mower understand where it needs to go and how to move around your yard without missing areas.
From what I’ve seen so far, the setup is designed to be simple and guided through the app. You’ll follow the prompts to connect the mower and begin the setup process. Some models may allow you to define boundaries or zones, while others rely on built-in sensors to detect edges and obstacles.
Either way, the goal is to help the mower move efficiently, avoid obstacles, and cover your lawn evenly.
This is also what helps with navigation. Instead of randomly moving around, the mower is able to adjust its path, recognize areas it has already covered, and work its way through your yard in a more controlled way.
Getting this part set up correctly makes a big difference in how well the mower performs.

What I’ll Be Testing Next
Once everything is fully charged and connected, the next step will be seeing how well this setup works in real time and how the mower handles navigation outside.
What Stood Out Right Away
One of the first things I noticed when getting everything set up was how solid and well-built the mower feels. The motor has a steady, consistent sound that doesn’t feel overly loud or harsh, which I really appreciated, especially when thinking about using it regularly around the house.
The terrain wheels are another feature that really stood out to me. They’re not small or flimsy, they have a nice grip and feel like they’re designed to handle different types of grass and slight uneven areas without struggling. Even during my first test, I could see how easily it moved from one section of the lawn to another without getting stuck or slowing down.
I also have to mention how simple it is to power on and off. There’s no confusion or digging through complicated settings. The buttons on the unit itself are large, clearly labeled, and easy to see at a glance. That might seem like a small detail, but it makes a big difference, especially if you’re outside and just want to quickly start or stop the mower without pulling out your phone.
WOW, just WOW. Technology has come a long way and this iGarden Lawn Mower L Series is phenomenal, OMG I am sooo impressed. Now it took us a minute to get the mower started but once you have your lawn mapped out and start the mower, this unit begins to cut the grass. We all were impressed at how well it cut the first half of my grass, the way that it navigates is truly impressive.
We just all sat back with amazement, and it mapped out every area with ease. The iGarden Lawn Mower is extremely quiet and handles well with small bumps or uneven spots smoothly. Another great feature is how quickly it responds when you press stop/start and how those terrain wheels handle the lawn with a smooth cutting process. The blades can cut short, but you have the ability to adjust the blades to your liking for cutting your lawn. So, no matter if your grass is thick or thin like mine this mower is equipped with a high-power, high-RPM motor, it powers through dense growth without stalling.
4WD Traction. Zero-Turn. Turf-Friendly.
Full-time all-wheel drive delivers strong hill-climbing, sure-footed traction with a low center of gravity to help resist tipping, and enhanced mobility on uneven ground. Front-wheel zero-turn steering delivers tight U-turns without tearing the turf.
It has a Smart LiDAR + AI Vision, AWD for 70% Slope, 135 W Motor Power which is well enough to handle your cutting needs, it also has 8 hours of runtime, and most of all Obstacle Avoidance. It’s clear iGarden really thought through every detail when designing this mower. When I tell you the LiDAR Navigation is effortless from Day One…trust me it really is! I mean you have No boundary wires, no base stations—just set it down and start. Smart LiDAR and a 1080p HD camera create a live map of your yard, delivering precise positioning and reliable navigation.
The Smart LiDAR and AI camera is so precise that it can object recognize objects and safer routing across real-world yards.
And yes, it’s true, you get one charge that completely handles lawns up to 2,200 m². Everything about the design feels very user friendly, which is something I always look for when trying new home products.
