Parents often miss out on opportunities to save because they don’t consider the future, or think that if they have enough money saved now, then their children’s futures will always be taken care of. This can be done through what you buy for your kids.

Saving money doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality time with your children, so try buying used clothes and toys at thrift shops or even garage sales. You can also save a lot of money by collecting items and teaching your kids to do some of the things you used to do, such as sewing or creating crafts.

Letting them deposit their money and earn interest on it by themselves ensures that they know how to save properly and look after their money so they won’t end up spending it all when they get older.
