Lately, we’ve been spending lots of time outdoors in the yard. Either we are grooming the lawn, the flowers, or out enjoying the pool and late-night movies outdoors. It’s been so beautiful and relaxing but of course, those pesky insects can make you so uncomfortable once you are bitten.

You know the moment when you’ve just starting to relax and enjoying being outdoors and “BOOM”, here come the bug bites. Ugh, it’s just about all over when that occurs and if my kids get a bite, say goodbye to them because they’re off running indoors.

Treating an insect bite has never been easy for children, no matter what you may have tried. Sometimes the kids just don’t get any relief fast enough.

Well, now you can try Bite Away. What is this Bite Away you may ask right? Bite Away is an FDA cleared medical device developed for the external treatment of insect stings and bites. It treats itching, pain, and swelling caused by insect bites such as those caused by mosquitoes, wasps, and bees. It’s “Chemical Free”, “Odorless”, and “Greaseless” plus its simple to use. The device uses a short burst of heat to reduce the symptoms of bites and stings within 3-5 minutes…..that’s right 3-5 minutes!! It’s not a large device at all as you can see.

How is that so? Well, Bite Away allows you to press one of the two buttons just once (3 seconds for the initial treatment and for more sensitive skin / 5 seconds for a regular application) a temperature of around 124°F is reached and maintained for the selected time, providing relief from itching and swelling within seconds. Beware, the heat may be initially surprising!

My first thought when I saw this device was will it be complicated and I can say NO it’s not! I decided to try the Bite Away on myself first because of course, I was the first person to get a bite last night on my leg.

Once I applied to the area where I was bitten I just pressed the button to heat up and placed the smooth ceramic contact plate on my bite for 3-5 seconds, no worries about the getting too hot the device will switch off automatically to make sure no potential to cause overheating.

I will say this, it heated up fast and it was hot! It heats up to a temperature of around 124°F.

I repeated the process a few times and found the pain to diminish some after a few tries. I was pleasantly surprised, to be honest, that it worked! You know we always hear about products that do this and do that but never stand up to doing what it says.

Well, Bite Away is a product that stands up to what it is recommended for and that’s reducing the itch and pain effectively! Bite Away is dermatologist tested and suitable for children, allergy sufferers and pregnant women, and offers a long lasting and natural alternative to traditional bite remedies. The device also uses 2AA batteries that are already installed.

I would highly recommend every household have one of these “Bite Away” devices on hand especially when you have children. I think I’ll  invest in a few more so each of my kids will have one in their home for my grandkids! Those kids live outdoors, LOL!

You can purchase “Bite Away” on Amazon  & on the “Bite Away” website.
