Researching to find the right Sleepaway Camps for Kids.

So it will be summer in the next few months and since the kids will be out of school I’ve been searching online for a sleepaway camp for them. I can remember back in the day when my mom and dad made sure we went to a sleepaway camp every year and boy was it fun.

They have so many nice sleepaway camps for kids of all ages who want to sleepaway from home and most if not all usually take place in the summer.

Many feature a range of activities, from hiking, fishing, swimming to rock wall climbing, bonfires, games and competitions. It’s important to research to find the right sleepaway summer camp that is best for your child, many factors plays a part in this too like personal interest, age and much more.

The great thing about many camps is you can even find camps that focus on particular academic area, such as math or computers, while another may focus on other things.  But mostly all overnight camps offer a traditional camp setting, with a variety of campfire games, bonfires, activities and much more like I stated above.

Selecting the right sleepaway camp can be really hard for some parents, the best online resource for sleepaway camps I’ve found is Tips on Trips and Camps.

For parents without a connection to best online resource for sleepaway camps, you can always view a few camp websites to learn a few helpful tips for finding the right camp for your little ones.

Tips:

  • Attend Camp Fairs
  • Ask the Right Questions
  • Talk to the Camp Director
  • Prepare for Nervousness and Homesickness~ boy I had to worry about this one for both me and my kids.
  • Ask  Kids what they like or if they feel comfortable with that particular camp.

Don’t forget to inform your child how much fun it will be to visit a sleepaway camp. Let them know that not only will there be many activities and lots of fun things to do but they can meet friends that can become lifelong buddies.

Even though Mom & Dad will miss them just as much as they will miss us we still want them to experience the opportunity to sleepaway at a nice camp this summer.
