Look at Ball FreshTech Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker. If you’re looking for an easier way to make special jam or jelly, then this new household gadget is for you!

It’s the newest kitchen appliance that everyone will want once they see how easy it is to make your own jelly and jam! I’m delighted to say that I had the pleasure, this past week, to try out a few canning recipes with the Ball FreshTech Automatic Maker.

Now, this is my first time doing any type of canning, I wasn’t too sure if I really wanted to give it a try. That is, until I saw my brother in-law canning his own preservatives. I was utterly impressed with his preservatives and the taste was phenomenal!!

Well, after seeing that I knew I had to do it! …Or at least try. I started off by adding all the ingredients to the maker that was indicated in the book, which is included as well. I also had my mom’s old  jam cooking books with some of her recipes.

I will say that the Ball FreshTech Automtic Maker is very easy to use, and all you have to do is read the manual, which will break things down for you step by step. I do recommend that you follow the manual for best results.

The Ball FreshTech Maker is very large in size estimating in dimensions by 14½” x 14½” x 11 2/5″ and will make 4 8-Oz. half pints of jam or jelly with ease.

With this system you can add your ingredients, and walk away while the FEATURESSmartStir technology automatically stirs what you’re making while cooking! The great thing about the system is that you can add everything you need for making the jam or jelly, set the timer, and walk away! Or better yet, stay and observe it as it stirs, and then wait for the system to go off to try your creation.

Now, the system does get hot, so I would caution users to be careful around it. However, within, at least, 30 minutes your jelly or jam will be ready to either be frozen or spreaded on your bread!

I made a few batches of Strawberry Jam and Apple jelly. I have to say, I really did a good job on the strawberry jam! The taste was awesome, and the consistency was great. Now, as for the apple jelly, I’m not too sure about that. LOL.! It tasted alright, but not as good as my jam; therefore, I need to work on perfecting that one.

Thus, so far I am enjoying canning with my new Ball FreshTecAutomic Jam & Jelly maker. It’s easy to use, lid is dishwasher safe, has a non- stick interior for easy cleaning, LED display that allows the consumer to control recipe program and time, and two 2 settings. Those settings happen to be jam or jelly. And most of all, it cuts down on the preparation /cooking time!

All you need to do is measure out your fruit pectin, spread it into the bowl, and add your berries or juice into the maker. After that, select jam or jelly, push start, and wait 4 minutes for the beep. Next, you’d add your sugar and select cancel once you hear four beeps.

Always make sure to unplug the cord, and ladle the jam & jelly into your warm, clean jars. I used Ball Jars, because Ball FreshTech was kind enough to send me two packs of them. These jars are a limited edition, and are called BALL® HERITAGE COLLECTION PURPLE MASON JARS.

The Ball Heritage Collection Mason Jars are available in colors such as purple, spring green, and blue. Just in time for your Spring/Summer canning! They are available as regular mouth pints and wide mouth quarts.

Wow!! I canned peaches from our tree a few years back and they came out so runny. The positive was we ended up using them for waffles since I could freeze them. If I had one of these I would definitely can more often. Amazing what items are being made now. Such an awesome post, and you made it look so easy. I would probably make rhubarb jam , its one of my favorites.

Wow! I had no idea they had this product. I really would love the opportunity to use this product. I’ve never actually made homemade jams or jellies but with this I would be making it all the time, maybe to sell at my local farmer’s market LOL
