ZAFRO Tower Fan Review: Staying Cool During Menopause

Ladies, can we talk about menopause and staying cool for a minute? If you know, you KNOW! One minute you’re sitting comfortably, minding your own business, and the next you’re wondering who turned the heat up. Hot flashes can seemingly come out of nowhere, and when they do, I want COOL AIR, and I want it NOW!

Finding little ways to stay comfortable can make those moments much easier to deal with. Lightweight clothing, keeping the bedroom comfortable, drinking something cold, and having a good fan nearby can all become part of your everyday routine.

And let me tell you, having a fan that can really move some air is a game changer. That brings me to the ZAFRO Tower Fan, which I’ve been using in our home. Instead of approaching this as just another fan review, I wanted to share why I’ve enjoyed using it and why I think women dealing with hot flashes may especially appreciate having something like this nearby.

Meet the ZAFRO Tower Fan

fan

One of the first things I noticed about the ZAFRO Tower Fan was its design. This isn’t one of those big, bulky fans that takes up half the room or looks completely out of place with your décor.

It has a sleek, modern black design and a small footprint, so you can easily place it in a bedroom, living room, home office, or another area where you need additional airflow. I like that it can sit off to the side without becoming the center of attention.

For someone experiencing hot flashes, I could easily see keeping one beside the bed or near your favorite chair so you can quickly get that extra airflow when you need it.

Baby, This Fan Can Really Move Some Air

fan

Of course, a pretty fan isn’t going to mean much if it can’t perform.

ZAFRO states that this tower fan delivers up to 1,060 CFM of airflow, air velocity up to 28 ft/s, and airflow reaching more than 43 feet. It also offers up to 120 degree oscillation, which helps distribute that airflow across a much wider area.

And that rotation is one of my FAVORITE things about this fan!

You aren’t limited to one oscillation setting. Through the app, you can choose between 30, 60, 90, and 120 degree oscillation, depending on how much of the room you want to cover.

I absolutely LOVE the wide rotation.

When you’re sitting in one spot, you may want a smaller oscillation range. When several people are in the room or you want air circulating throughout a larger area, that 120 degree setting really comes in handy.

Lots of Ways to Make It Comfortable for You

fan

Another thing I appreciate is how customizable the ZAFRO Tower Fan is.

There are 12 fan speeds and four wind modes: Normal, Natural, Sleep, and Auto. You can operate it from the touch controls on the fan or with the included remote. There are also app and voice control options available.

Personally, I’ve primarily used the fan and remote controls rather than relying on the app, and the remote has worked great for me. I like being able to adjust the fan without having to get up, especially when I’m already comfortable.

The built in temperature sensor is another interesting feature. The display shows the room temperature, and when you use Auto Mode, the fan can adjust its speed based on the surrounding temperature.

That means you don’t necessarily have to keep changing the settings yourself as the room conditions change.

Quiet Enough for the Bedroom

If you’re going to use a fan at night, noise matters.

The ZAFRO uses a brushless DC motor and can operate below 22 dB on its lower setting. I’ve been impressed with how quiet it is.

There’s also a Sleep Mode that provides a gentler breeze during the night. Even better, the green LED display dims and then turns off after approximately 30 seconds, so you don’t have a bright display shining across the bedroom while you’re trying to sleep.

For anyone who deals with nighttime hot flashes or simply tends to get warm while sleeping, those little details can make a big difference in overall comfort.

It Has Changed How We Use Our Air Conditioner

This has probably been one of the biggest surprises for me.

We all know a fan doesn’t work the same way an air conditioner does. A fan primarily helps *you* feel cooler by moving air across your body rather than actually refrigerating the room.

But the amount of airflow and circulation from this ZAFRO has made our living space feel noticeably more comfortable.

I’ve been able to keep our air conditioner set at a higher temperature than I normally would and still feel comfortable with the fan running. When the AC does kick on, having the ZAFRO circulating that cooler air throughout the area makes everything feel even better.

That’s something I really appreciate because running central air constantly during hot weather can add up quickly.

The energy efficient DC motor was another reason this fan caught my attention. Compared with older style fan motors, brushless DC technology is designed for efficient operation, which is important when you’re using a fan for long stretches of time.

And believe me, this one gets plenty of use in our house!

What About Cleaning?

ZAFRO designed the fan with a removable fan wheel and washable air intake grille, which allows you to get inside and remove accumulated dust.

I will say that removing the back for cleaning may not feel quite as simple as it does with some fans. That’s one area where I think the process could be a little easier.

However, I really appreciate that the fan can actually be opened for deeper cleaning. Dust eventually collects inside any fan, and being able to clean those areas should help keep the airflow moving properly. For me, the extra effort is worth it.

A Great Fan for Hot Flashes and Everyday Comfort

After spending time with the ZAFRO Tower Fan, I can easily say this has become one of my favorite fans I’ve owned.

I love the sleek appearance, the quiet DC motor, the amount of airflow, the different speed and wind settings, the remote, and especially that wide oscillation.

But coming back to where we started, if you’re going through menopause and those unexpected hot flashes have you constantly looking for ways to cool down, having strong airflow within reach can be incredibly comforting.

Place it beside your bed. Put one in the living room. Keep one in your home office. Its slim tower design means you don’t need a huge amount of floor space to find a spot for it.

And when that hot flash suddenly decides to make an appearance? Turn that fan on and let that air FLOW!

For everyday cooling, nighttime comfort, and those infamous “Is it hot in here, or is it just me?” moments, the ZAFRO Tower Fan has definitely earned its place in our home.
