“TokyoTreat: Discover Japan’s Best Snacks”
My family and I have always been fascinated by Japan, especially my youngest daughter. We love everything from their food to their stunning architecture and traditional culture. Today, we had the chance to try some Japanese snacks from the TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box. This subscription box is filled with a variety of treats from Japan, offering a delightful assortment of goodies for everyone to enjoy.
The TokyoTreat is a unique subscription box that offers exclusive, limited-edition Japanese snacks like Sakura Coke, Crunchy Chips, Cakes, Cookies, Candies, Kit Kats and much more.
In contrast, Sakuraco features authentic Japanese snacks, delivering up to 20 traditional treats, Japanese teas, and unique tableware. It’s a wonderful box that presents a delightful assortment of savory and sweet treats, including Tokyo Baked Chocolate and Kuromame tea, complemented by a traditional Tokyo-inspired plate.
The latest TokyoTreat box is packed with snacks inspired by Tokyo’s vibrant culture, and is a monthly limited-edition box, and seasonal flavored Japanese snacks that are only available in Japan. Each box contains up to 20 exclusive snacks that are sure to satisfy everyone’s cravings.
TokyoTreat was kind enough to send us one of their TokyoTreat Subscripitions boxes so without further ado, let’s dive into what’s inside this unique TokyoTreat Japanese candy box.
As we mentioned before, all subscription boxes are curated with a specific theme in mind. For example, this month’s TokyoTreat subscription box is called OKINAWA Snackin’ Oasis, and it was packed with a wide variety of snacks.
Now we tried just about everything within this box and let me say the kids were excited to assist me in trying out this TokyoTreat subscription box. What fascinated me the most was the fact that we were experiencing snacks from Japan, how cool is that.
The first snacked that piqued my interest was the Aerial Sour Cream $ Onion Chips, let me say they were so good we ate them all in one setting…LOL These delicious tangy, crispy chips are made with a bold flavor that will surely catch your attention with every chip.
Next, we went on to try the Crunky Salty Caramel Bites, well the kids tried them, they were all gone when I came in the room. LOL So, I’ll say they enjoyed them. These caramel bites have a layer of salty caramel and chocolate and the two ingredients’ pairs well
We then tried the Kokutou Black Thunder bar, it was good it had a savory chocolate sweet taste to me.
They were the perfect size for a snack, and what made them even more charming was the inclusion of a toothpick in the package, allowing you to easily pick up and enjoy each bite-sized piece.
We went forth to try a few more items in the box and I will say they were some very tasty snacks within. I didn’t too much care for a few of them but no matter what this snack box was a delightful treat for us all.
I can’t wait for my grandkids to try out a few of these snacks! I saved some just for them, like the Mizu Gummies, Soft Candy Chews, and Shooting Star Konpeito. They’re so excited to try them. And I can’t wait to try the Shikuwasa Soda myself—it looks so refreshing in the booklet.
There’s so much you’ll receive in your box, here are a list of snacks we received:
Green Apple Mini Mochi
Shrimp Kakiage Potato Snack
Kamesen Crackers
Okinawa Style Wafu Dashi Ramen Noodles
Kokutou and Milk Karinto
Cheese Chinsukou
Okinawan Sea Salt Donut
Aerial Sour Cream & Onion Chips
Crunky Salty Caramel Bites
Mizu Gummies
Kokutou Black Thunder
KoroKyan Soft Candy Chews
Shooting Star Konpeito
Shikuwasa Soda
You might be wondering what booklet I’m referring to. It’s the TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box theme booklet that comes with your subscription. This booklet describes all your snacks and explains the theme for that month’s box.
I must say, this TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box is so unique and is true to making everyone line up to try out their unique snacks.
Would I order a box for my family and I, yes indeed I would. It was a true experience trying out the different snacks from TokyoTreat Japanese Snack Box. I will say many of their treats I enjoyed but I did come across a few that were not to my liking.

HOW TOKYOTREAT STARTED
Tokyo native Ayumi loved sharing snacks with her friends overseas.
Starting on her living room floor in 2015, Ayumi hand-picked and packed Japanese candy and snack mystery boxes that she thought people would love – snacks with uniquely Japanese flavors and textures that represented Japan! But she realized she couldn’t do it alone.
