The Flu is here and its taking a toll on everyone!

The Flu is here, The Flu is here!!!

Its here and boy its taking us down, down, down. I have seen so many of my family and friends with Influenza (flu ) and its taking its toll on the body. From babies to adults all you hear is their sick with the flu.

The CDC(Center for Disease  Control) states this strain is really taking people down. Its a strain that is recognized by every doctor in the US as being very active and increasing daily. If you are a person who has a low immune system or someone who have certain health conditions you really need to speak to your doctor about getting the flu vaccination.

Influenza (the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. So this season look for those signs listed above to see if you have the flu.

Here are a few tips to help you prevent the flu.

1) Wash your hands frequently

2) Avoid Touching your face

3)  Drink plenty of water

4) Avoid mush stress as possible and get plenty of rest

5) Eat Healthfully and, most importantly…listen to your body!

If you think you have the flu, please seek medical attention!

Hope you feel better soon!

  • Our good friends had the flu recently, and their little one developed bronchiolitis from it, but they’re all recovering well. We’ve been fortunate to have been spared so far!

  • My oldest daughter tested positive for flu about two weeks ago. Then my husband. Then my youngest.

I take grapefruit seed extract daily, and so far *knock on wood* I have managed to play nursemaid to all three of them – and still feel fantastic. Certainly hoping my luck holds. HA!
