The Tech Helping Students With Their Assignments
The world is a tech-heavy place nowadays, and no one knows this more than the younger generations. Students in particular tend to have a deep relationship with technology simply because they are always using it! Both international and UK essays are a big part of student life, and it’s no secret that some students struggle more than others – so it’s only natural that this much-used tech is adapting to solve such a common issue. The question is, what tech is out there, and how is it helping students with their assignments? Read on to find out!
- The Internet
The internet is an almost inconceivably huge place, and with the sheer size, it’s understandable that there is so much help available on the World Wide Web to help students with their studies. From the wealth of information available, to extensions such as Grammarly that help those who struggle with their spelling and grammar, there is no limit to what you can find on the internet to help. The internet is the biggest and best tech innovation to ever happen not only for students, but for everyone, and there truly doesn’t seem to be any limit to what it can do.
- Their Smartphones
Using smartphones might seem counterproductive to assignments, but when used in the right way, they can actually be the best tool students have at their disposal. From apps such as iHomework that help you organize your assignments and deadlines so you don’t miss anything, to Homework Helper on which students can source help or answers to questions from other students and helpers alike, there is plenty on the market to aid struggling pupils.
- Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook
Students from all walks of life are likely to have heard of the Moleskine notebook, but how many have heard of the smart version? Partnered with Evernote, this notebook allows you to take notes via pen and paper just like any other notebook, and then using Evernote’s Page Camera feature, you can transfer these pages onto your smartphone or tablet. The lines on the notebook pages are specially designed for the clearest image, and the smart stickers included even allow you to add ‘Smart Tagging’ into your organisation! Never before has it been this easy to transfer your handwritten notes onto your devices.
- A Kindle
Those of us who have already passed through school will remember lugging around countless textbooks just to get a bit of studying done or an assignment handed in. Well, gone are the days where this is needed! Kindle makes it easier than ever to access all kinds of books and textbooks from your Kindle device, or even from a smartphone or tablet through the app, so you can scan through the pages with just a swipe. Kindle even offer you the chance to rent out a book for a given amount of time, so hefty textbook prices are a thing of the past!
- Bluetooth Coffee Maker
When you think of things associated with students, it’s likely that coffee will be one of the first that comes to mind. A Bluetooth coffee maker makes it easy to get the beverage brewing with just a tap or two of your phone! Okay, so coffee isn’t going to directly help you with an assignment, but getting out of bed early has never been so easy, and you can save precious minutes that would’ve been spent brewing or making it!
The tech available on the market today truly is incredible, and there seems to be no end to just what it can do to help students with their studies. From smart notebooks that make note taking easier and more seamless than ever, to eBook readers that stop you getting shoulder ache from lugging around a heavy bag of books, time can only tell just what else we could see for students in the future.
I like to consider myself tech-savvy but it still catches me off-guard to know what students need now as opposed to what I needed when I was a student. Thank you for this list. My daughter starts college in the fall.
Things just get better and better year after year. Wish I could be alive 100 years from now to see how it is..

My daughter loves her tech stuff, at 16 she doesn’t know what it’s like to be without the internet lol.
I love how technology is evolving and is becoming more about education than anything.
Technology is crazy! I admit that there are some that I do not care for, but a lot that I do! I would have loved to have a Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook when I was in school!
Technology is an amazing tool. Yes, it has been abused at many times, but if we can work on showing others the advantages and working for the good, imagine all the resources that will be open to others!
I am a big fan of technology. I already use most things mentioned here, with the exception of a bluetooth coffeemaker. I may have to look for one of those!
Technology is my passion !! While I think it can be abused, I know it has the power to connect and unite people in amazing ways !!
I am so glad I embraced the internet when it started. I’ve met so many people a bit older than myself who can barely use their cell phone let alone a computer. I love it all!!
This speaker is beyond awesome! Keeping fingers X’d!!
I used Grammerly all throughout my studies in college and long after, it is truly an amazing tool. The resources today are endless, I try to help my children embrace and utilize all the resources that they have but sometimes, it can be tricky with all of the technology out there. That Smart notebook though, I may need to look into that for myself!!
A lot has changed. Sometimes I don’t know if it is for the best.
I think my favorite tech is Grammarly. Sometimes I forget how to spell a word, Grammarly is right there for me. Also great for, well, grammar.
Things have definitely changed since I was in school! These are all great resources for our kids especially the Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook, Thank you for sharing.
I think technology is a wonderful thing. A Bluetooth coffeemaker though I am not sure about.
