Jaya Negara Mayor Invites Former Paskibraka to Become Role Models in Society
Denpasar Mayor, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara attended the grand reunion of the Former Indonesian Paskibraka (PPI) of Denpasar City which was held at the Jepun Park Palace, Denpasar, on Saturday (14/9/2024).
Wearing white clothes, the Former Paskibra of Denpasar City made a formation wrapped in an independence nuance.
On that occasion, the inauguration of the Red and White Yowana was also carried out which was marked by the kayonan being planted by the Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa and the Regional Secretary of Denpasar City, IB. Alit Wiradana.
The Chairperson of the Committee, Made Edi Agustina said that this grand reunion was held not only to strengthen the relationship between the PPI of Denpasar City from 1978-2023. This activity is also to update the data of all PPI members from 1978-2023.
“This is a form of friendship and strengthening the sense of kinship between retired Paskibraka in Denpasar City,” he said.
Edi Agustina added that until today there have been 650 members under the auspices of PPI Denpasar City. This is expected to contribute to development in Denpasar City.
“Actually, we have often gathered, but this event is the biggest and this event has been initiated since last year and has only been realized this year,” he said.
The Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara on that occasion invited Purna Paskibraka members to maintain and uphold the integrity and spirit of devotion they have. This can be done by increasing knowledge and insight and skills to anticipate and carry out the mission of devotion for the nation and state.
“Be a role model for the community and show your personality as a figure who is worthy of being emulated and imitated,” he said.
Jaya Negara invited retired Paskibraka members to stay away from despicable acts. Furthermore, PPI should be present as people who dare to fight various social diseases such as drugs, free sex, thuggery and radicalism that are contrary to normative values.
