How To Dress To Be Confident A Woman’s Guide

Ladies, when you are getting ready for a night out or you are getting ready to work, you want to look good, right?

However, with ever-changing fashion trends and the demands from Hollywood for women to dress a certain way, it can be hard to choose the right clothes that suit you and will allow you to feel confident at the same time.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to dressing to be confident (thank goodness), but there are some things that you can do to make sure that whether you are dressing up for dinner out or are going to a gala, you will feel as confident as you deserve!

Get The Sizing Right

You need to be honest with yourself about what clothing size you are, and this is no easy thing when there are seemingly hundreds of retailers who all offer the same idea of the same kind of size.

So, whether you are shopping at Froxx plus size online boutique, or you are looking to buy your clothes in-store, make sure you measure yourself beforehand, and if you can, try the clothes on first. A lot of online retailers now offer the option for women to try before they buy, so there is no commitment to wear a garment that doesn’t fit you!

Go For Bright Colours

OK, some women look amazing in black or grey and while these are certainly power shades, they can make you look washed out if you don’t get your makeup flawless.

If you want to feel confident, why not go bold? This can look like buying dresses, shirts, and skirts in colors you wouldn’t ordinarily wear, such as ruby red or purple or why not even try to go metallic? You will be surprised how well a slightly silver silk shirt goes in an office setting.

Accessorise!

Accessories make the outfit and just as before with the bold colors, you can go for blood accessories too, as these will draw attention to you and help you create focal points on your outfit.

Try to get your hands on some statement necklaces, chunky bangles, and even large stud earrings in unusual colors. These will all help to bring your look to life and can also be reused with different outfits.

Heels or No Heels?

High heels are associated with confidence but, if you are a woman who has never worn them before, you are unlikely to feel confident in yourself if you are wobbling, especially if you fall over!

So, if you want to try out wearing high heels, start with two-inch heels and work your way up. Then, as you become more used to walking with an elevated heel, you can move on to the next heel size up. If this sounds awful for you, or you have issues with mobility, you can still rock a pair of bright or patterned flats or pumps. Best of all, with many flat shoes, you can add removable embellishments, which can bring the entire look together.
