Antarctic Star T36/T42 Tower Fan Review: A Quiet and Stylish Way to Stay Cool This Summer

Summer has definitely arrived, and if you’ve stepped outside lately, you know just how intense the heat can be. When temperatures climb into the upper 90s and 100s, having a dependable fan can make all the difference. Whether you’re relaxing in your Livingroom, working from home, or simply trying to get a good night’s sleep, finding a fan that keeps you comfortable without creating a lot of noise can sometimes be a challenge.

After using the Antarctic Star T36/T42 Tower Fan, I can honestly say it has become one of my favorite additions to my bedroom. It delivers a refreshing breeze, operates quietly, and offers several thoughtful features that make everyday use incredibly convenient.

A Modern Design That Fits Any Room

The first thing I noticed was how attractive this tower fan looks. I chose the pink version because I wanted something a little different, and I absolutely love the subtle pop of color. Combined with the black top panel and digital display, it gives the fan a sleek, modern appearance that blends nicely into my bedroom.

Unlike traditional box fans that can be bulky and unattractive, the slim tower design doesn’t take up much floor space. It fits easily beside my bed while still providing excellent airflow throughout the room.

Surprisingly Quiet Performance

One of my biggest complaints with my old box fan was the noise. Every night it sounded like a small airplane preparing for takeoff. If you’ve ever tried sleeping with an extremely loud fan, you know exactly what I mean.

The Antarctic Star Tower Fan was a huge upgrade.

While changing settings initially produces a noticeable beep, I was thrilled to discover that the beeping can actually be turned off. That may sound like a small feature, but it’s one I truly appreciate, especially late at night.

Once the beeping is disabled, the fan operates incredibly quietly. On lower speeds, it produces as little as 22 decibels, which is quieter than many libraries. It creates gentle background airflow without becoming a distraction while sleeping, reading, or watching television.

Cooling Power That Feels Natural

Even though this isn’t an air conditioner, I was impressed by how cool the airflow feels.

The fan produces wind speeds exceeding 8 meters per second while circulating over 30 cubic meters of air per minute, helping move air efficiently throughout the room.

What I enjoy most is the Natural Mode.

Instead of blowing a constant stream of air, it creates changing airflow patterns that imitate a real outdoor breeze. I usually keep mine on Natural Mode at speed 4, and it feels incredibly comfortable. The airflow never feels harsh, making it perfect for relaxing or sleeping.

Multiple Modes for Every Situation

Everyone has different comfort preferences, and that’s where this fan really shines.

It offers:

6 adjustable fan speeds
Normal Mode
Natural Mode
Sleep Mode
Smart Mode

Sleep Mode provides gentle airflow that’s ideal for nighttime.

Natural Mode creates realistic breeze patterns.

Smart Mode intelligently adjusts airflow based on your cooling needs.

Whether you want maximum cooling during the hottest part of the afternoon or a gentle breeze overnight, there’s a setting that works perfectly.

The Remote Control Is More Useful Than You Think

One feature I didn’t realize I’d appreciate so much is the included remote control.

I work around 70 hours each week, so on those rare mornings when I don’t have to get out of bed before sunrise, I treasure every extra minute of sleep.

Instead of getting up to adjust the fan, I simply grab the remote from my nightstand, change the speed or mode, and go right back to relaxing.

It’s a small convenience that quickly becomes something you don’t want to live without.

Even better, the fan includes a built-in storage slot on the back, giving the remote its own dedicated place so it doesn’t disappear between couch cushions or under the bed.

Easy to Move Throughout the House

Another thoughtful feature is the hidden carry handle built into the top of the fan.

Because of its lightweight tower design, it’s easy to move from the bedroom to the living room, home office, or wherever you need extra airflow during the day.

Having one fan that easily travels from room to room makes it much more versatile.

Safe for Families

Safety is always important, especially in homes with children or pets.

The Antarctic Star Tower Fan includes several safety features that provide extra peace of mind.

These include:

Child Lock to prevent little hands from changing settings
Sensitive touch controls
Automatic LED display shutoff after 30 seconds to reduce nighttime light
Stable tower design
Quiet operation that won’t disturb sleeping family members

I especially appreciate that the display automatically turns off at night. Bright lights in the bedroom can make it harder to fall asleep, so this simple feature makes a noticeable difference.

Easy to Keep Clean

Fans naturally collect dust over time.

Fortunately, the Antarctic Star Tower Fan was designed with maintenance in mind.

The rear grille removes without tools, allowing you to clean the inside quickly and easily. Keeping the fan clean helps maintain strong airflow and keeps it operating efficiently throughout the season.

Perfect for Bedrooms

If you’re someone who enjoys sleeping with a fan every night, I think you’ll appreciate this one.

My bedroom isn’t especially large, but it isn’t tiny either. I keep the fan about four feet from my bed, and I haven’t needed to turn it up to the highest speed.

It provides plenty of airflow while remaining quiet enough that I barely notice it’s running.

For me, it’s exactly the right balance between comfort and peaceful sleep.

With summer temperatures continuing to rise, having a reliable fan can make your home significantly more comfortable without dramatically increasing your energy costs.

The Antarctic Star T36/T42 Tower Fan combines strong airflow, whisper-quiet performance, multiple cooling modes, thoughtful safety features, and modern styling into one impressive package.

From the ability to disable the loud beeping to the convenient remote control, child lock, automatic display shutoff, easy cleaning, and refreshing Natural Mode, it’s packed with features that make everyday use enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a stylish, quiet, and dependable way to stay cool this summer, the Antarctic Star T36/T42 Tower Fan is definitely worth adding to your home.

  • Gosh, I can’t stand noisy electric fans! It’s so hard to fall asleep when they sound like a small airplane getting ready for takeoff. I totally knew what you meant! Thanks for sharing this. I’m actually planning to replace the fan we have at home, so I’ll definitely be checking this one out.

  • This is so timely because I’ve actually been looking for a new fan. I wanted something with a sleeker, more modern design instead of the bulky traditional ones, but without spending too much.

I also love that it comes with different modes. I checked the link you shared, and I was so excited to see it comes in pink too! That pretty much sold me. I think I’ll be getting one soon.

This sounds like a keeper especially during these hot and humid days of summer. I must admit that your mention of a pink version caught my attention as typically fans come in black. Pink sounds real cute. I’d love to see that.

  • We are in a heatwave so I am looking for ways to be more cool! I do like how vertical this aircon unit is – I feel that the one I have is so bulky and hard to move when I want to be in a different room.

This fan looks sleek and practical. A quiet fan can make a big difference during hot summer days, especially if there is no airconditioning.

  • My son needs one of these in his room. With his tv running it stays a bit hotter than normal. I have turned the air down this week because it’s so hot. I also have a portable ac in my bedroom bc the central air works but it doesn’t keep my room cold enough for my hot flashes.

  • I love how portable this fan is. I might need to carry this in other rooms. Also brownie points on how it is easy to clean and those adjustable speeds.

  • Antarctic Star T36/T42 Tower Fan looks like a truly wonderful product to combat the summer heat. Thank you very much for the recommendation.

  • The only fan we have in our room is the overhead fan, but this seems like it would be a great addition! I love the idea of the natural flow setting since I don’t generally like air blowing on my face most of the time.

  • I love a standing fan — and this one IS stylish. A timely post, given the heat dome covering so much of the globe. I do like the design better than my standing one.

  • I am in the market for a quiet fan and need it desperately. Thank you so much for the amazing review. I will get it.

  • It sounds like this is a well thought out design. I do like the sleek design as well as the fact it is light weigh and has a carry handle for moving from room to room as needed easily. I need to invest in a few of these as they’ll come in especially handy at night x

  • OMG, I so need this in my life right about now. We are having a heat wave and sleeping is near impossible. We can’t open windows at night where we are and it gets too hot. The fact the fan is quiet helps and I like there is a remote – that sure will come in handy and I can see you are making good use of that yourself x

  • The temperature has got so hot here in the UK and we’re not used to it. You can’t beat a tower fan for helping to keep some air movement x

  • Excellent post. In these times of huge heatwaves I need this

  • I like that you covered both the design and performance instead of just the features. A quiet tower fan can make a huge difference during the summer, and this review makes it much easier to decide if it’s the right choice.

  • We currently have a fan downstairs but it is quite noisy. I would definitely be interested in getting one of these, especially that we keep having heatwaves in England!

  • I have had air-conditioners and fan running all through the night. The fan does make a lot of noise, so this model here looks like a quieter option that will result in better sleep. Like you I like a colour pop. You got my attention when you said ‘pink’. So checking those out now.

  • Okay, the fact that you can turn the beeping off would honestly be a huge selling point for me. There’s nothing worse than trying to sleep with random little noises going on, so that alone makes this sound really bedroom-friendly. It actually sounds like a fan someone put some proper thought into.

  • AiringMyLaundry

I need this fan. It is too dang hot in Texas. I feel like I need a fan in every room at this point.

  • Tara Pittman

I do like that this fan is quiet. I have trouble sleeping and noise tends to bug me.

  • Godinhoblogs

A very thoughtful review highlighting comfort and design together. The balance of quiet cooling and modern style makes this tower fan a practical summer essential for any home.

  • Great review highlighting both performance and design. Quiet operation, modern styling, and practical features make this tower fan an appealing choice for summer comfort.

  • Amber Myers

We need one of these! It’s so dang hot in Texas, so having one in the living room would come in handy. Plus my daughter could use one for her college dorm.

  • I am SO getting this! The weather was so brutally hot a couple of weeks ago that even the AC couldn’t keep up.
