What’s the Fastest Car in the World?

When you examine the features of a car, you will realize that it is much more than just a number. However, some people will often find themselves bragging about or judging a car based on its specifications. Well, this can be understood, as not everybody gets the opportunity to drive such cars. As a result, evaluating the car on how it steers, brakes or accelerates can be difficult. This makes people rely on the specifications of a car when it comes to choosing the best model. Some of the most common specifications that are often considered include horsepower, cornering G-force, cost, and, most important of all, top speed. While you may lack the opportunity to have a real experience with these cars, the potential exhibited in the specifications matters most. Bearing that in mind, here are some of the cars that have been proven to be the fastest in the world.

Hennessey Venom F5 – 301mph

It is correct to assume that the fastest car in the world will come from a mainstream automobile company due to the fact that they have the necessary funds to conduct research and design these cars. Thus, the fastest car in the world comes from Hennessey Performance Engineering. They have designed the Hennessey Venom F5, which, it has been claimed, can hit a top speed of 301mph. This car uses a carbon-fiber chassis and is powered by a 7.4-liter double-turbocharged v8 with a horsepower of 1600. While the Hennessey Company has not come out to legitimize such claims, it is believed that the venom F5 can accelerate from 0-249mph and then back within 30 seconds. This is the same amount of time that normal sports cars take to accelerate from 0-100mph. You can experience some of the fastest cars in the world by renting these cars from Milani Exotic Rentals. Here, you can get cars from famous manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, and Mercedes.

SSC Tuatara – 300+mph

It has been almost a decade since we last heard from SSC, when the company announced that they were designing the Tuatara, which they said would be able to hit a top speed of 265mph. When SSC revealed the model of the car, its speed had risen to 300mph. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged v8 engine derived from Nelson Racing. The engine is a 5.9-liter flat-plane crank, and can manage a horsepower of 1750 when running on E85 fuel. The power of the car is routed at the rear wheels with the aid of an automated 7-speed manual gearbox. With the body of the car aero-optimized and the engine having lots of power, the car is considered to be one of the fastest in the world.

Koenigsegg Agera RS – 278mph

This is the first car on the list that has been proven to manage a top speed of 278mph. While the Hennessey Venom F5 is claimed to hit a top speed of 301mph, the Koenigsegg Agera RS has actually been proven to average a top speed of 278 mph. The car has actually managed to hit a speed of 285 mph (which was recorded in the Guinness book of world records as the top speed managed by a car).

Hennessey Venom GT – 270mph

Another car on the list comes from Hennessey Performance Engineering. This car previously held the world record for the top speed ever recorded by a car before Koenigsegg beat it. This vehicle just popped out of nowhere to beat the car that had previously been considered the fastest–—the Bugatti Veyron. In 2014 Hennessey revealed the car, powered with a 7.0-liter twin turbo v8 engine and a horsepower of 1244. Until that time, the company did not have many recognized performance cars.

Bugatti Veyron super sport – 268mph

For a long time, Bugatti had dominated the category of the world’s fastest car before it was toppled by Koengsegg and Hennessey. The dominance of Bugatti came from the availability of funds, which were obtained from its parent company: Volkswagen. The Bugatti Veyron was launched in the year 2005 with a huge amount of time and resources spent on designing it. The car was powered by a quad-turbocharged engine that was capable of delivering a horsepower of 1001 on every wheel.
