You can find beaches that will proved umbrellas, sunbeds, and bars if that is what appeals to you, or you can even go looking for a more secluded and private beach. Not only is it a great place to relax and swim, but beaches in Greece also offer some of the best activities and water sports around.

If you want a day off from the beach, but still want to be by the ocean, you could always spend a couple of nights on an on-suite gulet cruise, cruising your way around the coast line, enjoying the view of Greece from the ocean.

Ancient buildings

If you are more into the history of places and take a deep interest in history, Greece is a fantastic place to go to get up close with some on the oldest and most ancient buildings in the world that carry so much sentiment and history. Ancient Greek buildings are masterpieces of architecture. You can take some time out to go and visit the Acropolis located in Athens, and the museum that accompanies it, or you could have a look at the Palace of Knossos to see a beautiful medieval structure, just to name a few.

Greece is filled to the brim with rich culture and history that is displayed through its architecture, lifestyle, food and so much more. Greek culture is one of the most unique cultures in the world, with that of the Greek gods, many famous historians, and even a few philosophers that have made their way into Greek history.

Not only is the history so incredible and deep but the people around there today are known to be some of the most kind hearted people and are always willing to help out strangers and make friends with new people wherever they go.

To climb mount Olympus

Probably known as one of the most famous mountains in all of the world, especially if you are a fan of Greek mythology, Mount Olympus is a place that should not be left off your to do list when in Greece.

Mount Olympus is known as the place where Zeus sat on his throne, so why wouldn’t you want to be as close to Greek mythology as possible and hike up to the top, knowing you are walking where legends once walked. Roughly 10 000 people climb the mountain yearly, and if you’re not into Greek mythology, it is still a beautiful hike to go on.

Explore the architecture in Santorini

Apart from all the ancient building around, Greece as some of the most incredibly beautiful architecture that looks as if it belongs on a post card. Santorini is known as the place for honeymooners to go and there is no doubt why this name was chosen. In Santorini you will find beautiful Cycladic homes in white and blue that so incredibly contrast the colours of the ocean and sky making it most picture perfect places to visit possibly in the entire world.
