Straight Talk on Straight Teeth with Invisalign Teen Clear Braces.

Lately my daughter has expressed to me about how her teeth are in need of braces. She’s the new teen in our home now and she has taken a great interest in her appearance. One thing she has complained to me about is her teeth are slightly crooked plus she has an overbite, I don’t think its bad but when you’re dealing with a teen everything about their appearance must be right.
So when she came home from school last week she mentioned to me about getting braces. She was so strong in her decision I felt maybe its time to take a look into getting her teeth straighten! Now I knew about the metal braces that I have seen many teens wear, but now there is an alternate to braces called Invisalign Teen!
I know many of you are wondering as to what is Invisalign Teen, right?
Invisalign Teen is a clear plastic smooth custom-made aligner that is removable and invisible. It’s the new innovative way to help straighten your teens teeth. No more hiding behind those metal braces! The Invisalign Teen aligner is made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that your child will wear over their teeth.
They are known to be just as successful and can correct most prevalent teeth straightening. No matter if your child has a severe case or a minor case like my daughter’s teeth the Invisalign is here to straighten your teens teeth out! The Invisalign will gradually and gently shift your teeth back into place. The great thing about Invisalign is there are no metal brackets to attach nor any wires to tighten. Just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete.
Since school is out now I’m looking forward to making an appointment for my daughter to see the orthodontist to discuss Invisalign Teen options! You can also take the Invisalign Smile Assessment  to find out if Invisalign is right for you or your child!
If you’re worried about the cost, let me assure you that Invisalign Teen cost about the same as braces and is covered by most dental issuance policies just like traditional braces — up to 50% of the cost may be covered by insurance. Your provider will be able to give you more information pertaining to coverage!
Let me (Set It Straight )about Invisalign Myths:
• Myth: Invisalign can only treat minor or cosmetic issues.
Setting it Straight: Invisalign effectively treats a wide variety of orthodontic issues including severe bite issues. From underbite to crossbite, deepbite to overbite and overly crowded to widely spaced, advancements to Invisalign’s patented technology continues to increase the complexity of issues that can be treated.
• Myth: Invisalign is more expensive than metal braces.
Setting it Straight: The cost of Invisalign is usually comparable to the cost of traditional braces and many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign just as they would braces.
• Myth: I won’t be able to tell if my child is wearing Invisalign often enough for it to be effective.
Setting it Straight: Invisalign Teen aligners are made with small blue dots, officially called compliance indicators, that gradually fade as aligners are worn. It’s a quick visual check for parents and teens to confirm they wearing aligners long enough to get results. In fact, clinical data from orthodontists confirms that teens wear their aligners an average of 21 hours per day, just as recommended.

Appreciating the persistence you put into your blog and detailed information you provide.
Wow, this has come a long way since the braces I grew up with!
It’s nice to learn about this product. Although none of my kids needed braces yet but I will keep this in mind. My oldest teeth might need a brace someday, it’s growing sideways. We will see what his dentist has to say on his next appt.
I didn’t know about Invisalign until now! This is just so interesting and I’m so glad they’ve discovered a more modern way of straightening teeth!
I would love to get invisalign but just have not done it because I can not afford it and my insurance does not pay for it.
