Stay cool this summer with the Pillow Cool by Carex Health Brands.

Do you find yourself placing a fan to your body every night trying to cool off? Or is your nights filled with sweating clothing and tossing and turning due to night sweats? Well move over, you me and many other women are dealing with the night sweats. I know for me its the change of life, what we call in the medical field (menopause)… Shhhh I think this may tell my true age. LOL!!
So when I was asked to give the Pillow Cool by Carex Health Brands a try I welcomed the opportunity. First, let me tell you about the Pillow Cool. It is a self-cooling pillow insert that will gently cool down your body temperature with no water or refrigeration needed -the unique gel filling stays cool on its own. It’s great for soothing hot flashes, cooling you down after a good workout and sunburns too!
It was very easy for me to use, I placed mine right on the outside of my pillow and placed my head down just to see if it would cool off. I was a little skeptical at first, but within a few minutes I could feel the coolness of the Carex Cool Pillow cooling my skin off. I also inserted it into my pillow case, but I did not feel the coolness as much as I did without the case. I also noticed that as soon as it absorbed my body heat within about an hour or more it felt as though the coolness was fading but to be honest, I really don’t think anything will work on my hot flashes… Lol Now keep in mind that every one’s body temperature is different so even though I wanted the Pillow Cool to stay cooler for me, it may be the right cooling pillow for someone else! The cool effect continued just didn’t last long enough for me. The Pillow Cool also has a smell from the coolant gel I believe that is used inside just know the smell will dissipate!
A few things I do like about the Carex Pillow Cool are, its foldable, very thin, can travel with you, needs no refrigeration or water and it has a non-slip backing to prevent bunching while sleeping. It is a comfortable pillow and again, I think its great for others, but it’s just not cool enough for me.
