Remembering September 11,2001…….
As this day approach again! I can still feel the pain and hurt of what happen on September 11,2001. On this day 7 years ago I can plainly remember what occurred with the beautiful Twin Towers from the World Trade Center. Being attacked by those planes and seeing the Twin Towers fall with so many lives still in and around them was just unbelievable . I remember crying as I watched this occur at one of my patients home. The feelings that I had was very sicking. The belief of saying to myself and my patient was… this can’t be happening. You know the feeling that makes you say this has to be a movie or something…..this can’t be real. Well it was real…so real that the whole world at this point stood still in disbelief.
This was the most cowardly act that anyone could have ever taken against our people of the United States! In a country where we are free…free to be whatever you wish to be. Although I did not loose any one personally I still count everyone else lost as my lost. You see we all were affected by this cowardly act. Many losing there Mothers, Fathers, Daughters, Sons, Grandfathers, Grandmothers, Aunts, Uncles and Friends. So much was taken from our people….security, love ,dignity, hope, futures and much more. As we go about our day today… able to breath and live once again.
Let us just take a moment to STOP AND PRAY for all those who lost there lives during this horrific act. Say a Prayer for those families that have been left behind without there love ones that still have to deal with the constant reminder of what occurred on September 11,2001. Just take a moment to honor them all…the civilians, the policemen, the firefighters, the workers on site, the medical staff and many more.
WE MAY FORGIVE…..BUT WE WILL….NEVER FORGET!!!
MAY GOD BLESS US ALL!!

I will never forget and have many friends in NY, luckily they are all still here, but I can’t say that for so many people. Great remembrance 🙂
I will not forget either. celebrate the day by letting your love ones know you care about them, even maybe ones you haven’t spoken too in a while.
The time heals wounds, that little phrase…it is being tested in our mindset for this day…is it not?
I am so tied to this event having lost several friends. I cannot begin to even discuss the matter without becoming emotional.
I will not forget.
Thank you Lisa!
How wonderfully written. I too remember that day. I was on disability from my neck/back issue that had occurred that August. For some reason I was watching the news and saw the first plane crash into the tower. My first thought was did they see that? What was that? How could a plane be flying that low? Only after they started reporting on it did I realize what was unfolding. I too did not lose anyone in that horrific day-but I will never forget. I know why our troops have had to be gone-and I am proud of them. So Thank you Lisa for writing such a great post about such a terrible day.
