Today I had a chance to visit the Save-A Lot store to find a few meatless meal ideas to cook for the Holidays. I know Easter is coming soon and I wanted to search out some good ideas early.
This month I want to cook something simple, but yet healthier for my family, so I decided I’m going Meatless in March! Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy cooking meats like chicken, ham, roast and ribs etc. But a few times this year I am trying to focus on eating less meat and more veggies! As I browsed throughout the store I saw so many fresh fruits and vegetables  and their selection was very large.
Even when I passed by their meat section it too was large and filled with all types of meats. Actually Save A Lot has a great combination of food items for any meal. Great snacks, fruit, veggies, frozen food, bake goods, meats, drinks and more. I went down every aisle picking up everything I could and everything I knew my kids would enjoy…lol!
Before I knew it, it was time to check out. Once we got home, I told my husband how much we had saved by visiting Save A Lot and he too was impressed just as much as I was. Look for yourself.
Yes, all that food came from  Save A Lot and I was even able to get a few Meatless Meals to prepare this month for my March Meatless Dish. I decided to make one of my dishes that night.
I purchased some Salmon, Corn on the cob, Broccoli, Asparagus and Lemon.
First, I got out three pans: one for the salmon and lemon; another one for the broccoli and corn; then one for the asparagus.  I started off by chopping the corn off the sides, so that I may sauté in of the pans. I also diced a few pieces of broccoli and placed it in the same pan with a bit of oil before turning the burner on medium heat. This way, I could get started on the salmon.
The unthawed salmon that I used was already seasoned by my helpful daughter; she used a bit of seasoning salt and pepper to do so. As she was doing that, I turned on the stove top, and poured some oil into the pan before placing it on the burner. My daughter also sliced a few pieces of lemon and placed them inside the pan along with the seasoned salmon once the pan was hot. She kept an eye on those while I washed the asparagus and placed them in their own pan with some butter.
The aroma coming from the pans filled our kitchen as we stood by the stove. After flipping the salmon a few times  and finding that it was fully cooked, I placed it on our plates along with the rest of the vegetables that were done.
However, it didn’t last long! Lol. The moment we both sat down at the table and blinked, the food was gone! So the next time you’re looking for a Meatless Meal, visit Save-A-Lot store so they can help you prepare. I have a few more March Meatless Meals I will be sharing soon.

Hi there, the last few pictures wont show : (
I need a save a lot close by. It looks like you picked up some great items and you made one of my favorite meals.
I spy pancake mix from your shopping trip – that is a family favourite around here
We used to shop there when we had one closer to us. Now all we have is Aldi. Yuck.
Sounds like a great place to shop! I wish we had this store down here in Florida!
It looks like they have an awesome selection at great prices! You can’t beat that!
