Kismile AeroLucen 5 QT Glass Air Fryer Review: A Clear View of Crispy, Easy Meals

Finding an air fryer that earns its spot on the kitchen counter can take a little searching. You want something that cooks well, is easy to use, and fits comfortably in your space. So far, the Kismile AeroLucen 5 QT Glass Air Fryer has made a lovely impression, with thoughtful features that make preparing meals a little easier.

Kismile describes the AeroLucen with the message “Cook Faster. See Better.” After using it, I can certainly appreciate the appeal of being able to watch food cook while keeping meal preparation simple.

One of my favorite features is the transparent borosilicate glass cooking chamber. I like being able to see the food without repeatedly opening the air fryer. That clear view makes it easier to keep an eye on browning and check how things are coming along.

The glass container feels sturdy, and Kismile identifies the glass basket that comes into contact with food as naturally free of PFAS and BPA, with no nonstick coating containing PFAS. For anyone interested in an alternative to a traditional coated basket, that is a feature worth knowing about.

The five quart capacity offers room for everyday meals and sides. Kismile describes this model as suitable for one to three people, making it an option for smaller households or those times when you do not need to prepare a large batch.

The variety of cooking settings adds to its everyday usefulness. Its eight functions are Air Fry, Roast, Broil, Frozen, Reheat, Bake, Proof, and Warm. Having those options makes it useful for different meals throughout the week, while the proofing and warming settings are welcome extras.

According to Kismile, the adjustable temperature ranges from 90°F to 450°F. That gives you options for everything from gentle warming and proofing to roasting and crisping, depending on the recipe and selected cooking function.

The AeroLucen is also designed to cook without a separate preheating step. That is a convenient feature when you are ready to get a meal started and would appreciate a little less waiting.

Kismile advertises cooking half a pound of frozen fries that have already been fried in as little as eight minutes, without preheating. That is a brand supplied example rather than a cooking time I have personally verified. Actual timing will depend on the food, portion size, and recipe, so checking doneness is still important.

With so many functions, you might expect the controls to be complicated, but the touchscreen is straightforward and easy to navigate. The Dynamic Speed Ring uses four colors and a central DYNAMIC indicator to provide a visual cue for cooking status and modes. It is a nice finishing touch that makes checking the appliance at a glance easier.

Another useful feature is the automatic pause when the glass basket is removed. Kismile says the display shows “Open” while the basket is out, and cooking resumes when it is properly reinserted. The appliance and glass can still become hot, so follow the handling instructions in the manual.

Its sleek appearance looks lovely on the counter. Kismile lists dimensions of approximately 10 inches deep, 13 inches wide, and 9.6 inches tall. Be sure to allow the ventilation clearance specified in the manual when choosing where to use it.

Cleanup is another detail that matters in a busy kitchen. The removable cooking components make it easier to reach inside the glass chamber. Follow the care instructions for each component, including which parts can go in the dishwasher, and allow hot glass to cool before washing.

I also appreciate the included storage lid. Kismile provides it for temporary food storage, giving the glass container another practical use beyond cooking. Remove the lid before operating the air fryer, follow the food storage instructions, and refrigerate leftovers promptly. Having fewer dishes to wash is always welcome in my kitchen!

One thing to keep in mind is the weight of the glass basket. It feels more substantial than a thin metal basket, so I take extra care when lifting it and setting it down on a dry surface that can safely withstand heat.

For me, the appeal is how these features come together in everyday use. The clear basket, simple controls, range of cooking functions, and included storage lid make this a thoughtful addition to the kitchen.

With the holidays coming soon, this air fryer could make a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys cooking, or a lovely kitchen upgrade for yourself! It could also come in handy for preparing appetizers, reheating party foods, and making smaller dishes during the busy holiday season.
