Have a Good Dog Through Puppy Training

Getting a puppy will change your life for the better. You’ll have a best friend who will love you no matter what. When you’re doing a monologue across the mirror or having the performance of your life in the bathroom, your furry friend is the one that will still look at you with admiration. You can even expect an enthusiastic response as if you just won a Tony Award.

Your pup could be a pee machine, but you’ll have a little ball of sunshine with you 24/7. This is why the thought of putting your furry friend in a boot camp during his/her babyhood is not the most appealing idea. Just like any parent, you want to be there to witness your puppy’s growth every step of the way.

However, having your puppy trained by a professional can be beneficial in the long run. Finding a puppy school that uses positive reinforcement is the first step into having a dog that is not afraid to be out in the world.

Puppy training Utah teaches puppies to socialize in a way that matches their individual mood while building their confidence, and physical and mental strength. You don’t have to worry about missing out these golden moments because you’ll be updated with photos and videos-a way to miss your pup a little less in those 10 days of puppy school.

According to the American Kennel Club, the key to a good dog is a well-trained dog. Here’s a list of qualities of the “best boy dog” and “best girl dog.”

  1. A good dog knows how to socialize.

There is the right time to socialize with other dogs and a time to ignore the dogs in public. Puppy school will teach your pup to know the difference. Since puppy school will expose your dogs to other canines safely, you can expect your pup to grow up to be a confident dog that doesn’t fight with other dogs when out in public.

2. A good dog is a confident doggo.

Like humans, a secure dog is a dog that is not afraid to be alone. First, a confident dog doesn’t become destructive from being separated from you when you go to work. In puppy school, there are confidence-building exercises, so you can still run errands without worrying if your dog is fine. At the same time, you can ask the trainers about a routine that will work for your dog before you leave home. Second, a confident dog is not afraid of walking in a new environment-from bridges to tunnels.

3. A good dog is an obedient dog, not because of fear but because of love for you.

Dogs that are raised with positive reinforcement are obedient because they want to make their humans happy, not because they fear them. All puppy training should be done with a rewards system; otherwise the puppy will grow up to be aggressive and fearful. An obedient dog responds to his/her name, and knows the basic commands such as sit, stay, and drop.

Most importantly, remember that the best doggy is a happy doggo. Love your furry friend, and for sure, you will receive the same love tenfold.
