I’ve had a few Dell products before but never any of their tablets. Actually, I wasn’t aware that Dell even had any tablets until a few weeks ago when I was introduced to the Dell Android Venue 7 tablet.

The Dell Power By Intel Venue 7 tablet features a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom  Z2560 processor  (Clover Trail) processor, IPS Display with HD (WXGA 1280 x 800) resolution, Intel HD Graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and an integrated 4100mAh 1-Cell Battery. Available in only Black color

The tablet runs on Android 4.3 OS  and has a  7-inch HD screen size. The camera options of the tablet includes a 3 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing webcam for video chats. A 16GB of inbuilt storage and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The 7-incher is 9.5mm thick, 118mm wide and 193mm long, apart from weighing as low as 350grams its one lightweight tablet that’s for sure, I really like that because it makes it very convenient to carry but yet large enough to actually use!

I think this will be a great starter tablet for your young son or daughter also. It has many great features that will suit their computer needs until they are ready for a more advance tablet or computer. I love that it includes the Intel system, this way the kids will have the processing performance they need, it will move along fast for them to multi-task.

I found it to be extremely quick unlike other tablets I reviewed, it is well designed with a good screen viewing angle and good battery life, I only wish the internal speaker wasn’t so limited! The tablet is very comfortable to hold and very  compact.

The top has the power button and jack for a standard headset. The left side has volume +/- and the MicroUSB port. At the bottom in the middle is the speaker and the Dell asset tag. The right side you will see a compartment that will reveal the MicroSD & MicroSIM card slot when opened. One thing I found also is it never heated up when I watched a few movies or videos for a while. It has a basic interface, programs were easy to open and switching back and forth between each program was impressively easy, it has great multi-tasking ability that’s for sure.

The screen is not the highest resolution but its doable for reading . Included also is the Android browser and Chrome, plus some software, mostly Google products such as Mail and Calendar.

Overall, I am pleased with the user experience and I find this Intel Venu 7 tablet to be perfect for any user. With the Holidays coming up soon I think this would be a great purchase for yourself or love one!

Recently Intel pulled together a fun working mom illustration (below) to showcase how busy moms can get through their daily routine with the help of an Intel-powered tablet.  Take a moment and look it over!!
