Finding a Doctor is easy as one, two, and  three! Yes sir, you can see/speak with a doctor 24/7 right in the comfort of your home, office, or car via iPhone  or iPad whenever needed.

Amwell is easy to install: just download the app, sign in, provide your information, and get ready to consult with a live doctor. The site is easy to navigate and with the High-definition visual and audio, you can visually see and hear the physician available. I also like how the online platform lets you test your devices to make sure it’s compactable to their system.

screen322x572 I had a chance to speak with one of Amwell Doctors. Lately I have been dealing with a real bad cough from a bad cold that  I’ve had for about two weeks.

I explained to the doctor what was happening, as far as me having a coughing flare up. And before I knew it, she had came to the conclusion that I had an upper respiratory infection. I provided my pharmacy number in the beginning along with other medical history and insurance information, so she could call in an antibiotic prescription to help relive that cough.

The doctor was very professional, very caring, and concerned about my medical issue. Even after we finished talking about my cough she asked me a few other questions about my overall health. She was just so pleasant and made me feel better while addressing my medical issue.  Then in a matter of moments, my session was up and I was able to get a copy of the doctors notes and advice for treatment.

  • Great idea. I think my doctor’s group has a similar program.

  • I think this would be a great option for people that don’t have health insurance or people that don’t want to spend money on co-pays to visit the doctor.

  • Thanks for all the information!

  • This is a great idea if you don’t have time to go to the Drs.

  • Sounds like a quick, easy way to get the diagnosis and treatment you need! This would be great for those darn ear infections!

  • I would love this. I hate going to the doctor, especially because I have no option but to bring my 3 children (3 and under) with me as I cannot afford a sitter on our income and all of our family members either don’t live here or work! This would be great for minor issues.

  • Sounds like a good option, but it wouldn’t work for me 🙁 !

  • This seems like a great idea for many people. I have so many different issues I have to go to a doctor who has my records. It’s not fun falling apart!

  • Sounds good if you absolutely cant afford health insurance, but I like a more personal visit with a dr

  • Very convenient.

  • It seems that it might work for simple problems.

  • What a great way to go to the doctor when you just can’t get in to see your regular doctor! I love this!

  • This is definitely a useful service for an affordable price, my husband hates to actually go into a doctor’s office and for minor issues this works well.

  • I have very mixed feelings about this. For minor things it may be reasonable, but the majority of the time an upper respiratory infection doesn’t need antibiotics and if it is that bad or continuing then a provider should really be listening to lungs.

  • Maybe if you are a young, healthy person who only needs to see a doctor a few times a year, or has no insurance, but at $49 a visit I don’t think it is something I would use. I can diagnose my own minor issues.

  • I Am not entirely sure how I feel about this. As a health care family, this worries me a little bit. I am glad that the option is there but I feel like a doctor needs to fully assess a patient to make a diagnosis.

  • This would be okay, but I have to have a referal (sorry don’t know how to spell it) or my insurance does not pay it. I only pay $12 to see my doctor and free if I go to emergency room. I will stick with my regular routine.

  • I’m not comfortable with doing this online or with a doctor that I have no relationship with. I think it’s unethical and potentially dangerous to be diagnosed and treated this way.

  • With our insurance, a hospital visit is only $20 out of pocket, so this to me just doesn’t seem worth the price since I can just go to see a doctor in person for less. I can see this being an option for someone who doesn’t have a car or hospital nearby though.

  • WHEN MY DAD WAS A YOUNG BOY THE COUNTRY DOCTOR CAME TO THEIR HOUSE. HE LOOKED AT MY DAD THROUGH A WINDOW AND SAID HE HAD THE MUMPS. THAT WAS NOT TRUE AND HIS TONSILS BURST. I THINK I STILL WANT TO SEE A DOCTOR IN PERSON. HOW DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE HAS A UTI WITHOUT LAB WORK?

  • Sounds to good to be true and not something I’m comfortable with for myself.

  • im not so sure about how I feel about this,,as a retired nurse i cant imagine how to treat a patient without touching them,

  • Do you send vital statistics in to the doctor?

  • This seems like a wonderful idea! It’s so hard to get an appointment with my doctor. She is only in 3 days a week, and then when the receptionist answers the phone, she says, “The doctor has nothing for 3 weeks”. Not a problem just for a check-up, but awful when you’re sick! I will try Amwell.
