You would be surprised at how many people are dealing with some type of parasite in their organism. To take things a step further, many of them don’t even know about it. They’re dealing with some rather common symptoms that impact their day-to-day life, and they could actually deal with that rather quickly. A parasite cleanses, supported by natural parasite cleanse supplements, can do wonders for your body, and is something you should definitely try.

What Is a Parasite Cleanse and How Do You Know You Need One?

As we mentioned, parasites are a lot more common than you’d think, and getting an infection is also easier than you might think. Sometimes all it takes is for your beloved pet to have an infection – if you share a bed, you’ll probably get it too.

And while unless you’re dealing with some of the more severe parasites, you might not even feel it, parasite infection is absolutely something you should deal with. A parasite cleanse is pretty much any adjustment to your food and supplements intake that has a goal to deal with the parasites in your body. And while medicaments certainly are an option, you could go the natural way, and help your body a bit with supplements.

All of the above does beg the question, what are some common symptoms of intestinal parasites? Not all of these happen all the time – most of them depend on the specific parasite you’re dealing with, but here is a short list of some common symptoms you might notice:

  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Weight loss
  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue, weakness, or brain fog

 How do Herbs Work?

When you think “natural”, the first thing that springs to mind is, of course, herbs. Herbs have been around for pretty much forever, and they’ve been used for centuries to eliminate parasites in a variety of environments. You have two types of herbs – a vermifuge herb, which expels parasites from the body, and a vermicide herb, that kills any parasites in the body.

For example, black walnut is both a vermifuge and a vermicide, and the hull of the nut is what’s commonly used to fight parasites. You also have wormwood, which is a vermifuge that has antiprotozoal capabilities, making it especially useful against giardia.

Of course, those two aren’t the only things that can help fight parasites – you also have cloves, ginger, sage leaves, and a host of other herbs that could help you deal with parasites in your body.

How Long Should You Do a Cleanse?

If you’re considering a parasite cleanse, here’s a fun fact – parasites have a life cycle of 60 to 90 days. If you’re doing a focused cleanse, it’s usually recommended that you do it for 90 to 120 days. The exact duration depends on how problematic they are, but that’s something your health practitioner will tell you best. And with 60 days being the bare minimum so you kill the parasites in every phase of their life cycle, 90 days is ideal, because eggs can last through a few doses of vermicides and vermifuges.

While we’re talking timing, it’s worth mentioning that a deep parasite cleanse is best done during the spring or fall seasons. This is when it’s going to be least stressful on the body, which is something you should definitely consider. Of course, if you stay healthy in terms of hydration and nutrition, you can do a parasite cleanse at any point in time if you’re feeling strong enough. And you’ll love feeling energized once you’re done!

 Why You Should Be Careful

There’s no way around it – dealing with parasites is best done the natural way. However, even though natural remedies are usually less ‘severe’ than medicine in terms of side effects, they’re still something you want to be careful with.

The reason is simple – even natural remedies and ingredients can react badly to your organism, and that could be even worse if you’re already taking some medication for something else. This is why, before you do anything regarding a parasite cleanse, you should consult with your doctor or health practitioner.

The thing is, you might be feeling some of the symptoms, but they might not be from a parasitic infection, it might be something completely different, and only a doctor can tell you for certain. Yes, a parasite cleanse won’t do much damage to your body unless there’s an unexpected reaction with something else, even if you don’t have a parasitic infection, but that’s not a reason for you to be careless. Check with your doctor, and if your body does have intestinal parasites, by all means, take a natural approach to parasite cleanse.
