5 Ways to Feel Fresh Every Morning

Everyone knows it is important to get up fresh in the morning to achieve one’s daily goals. Whether you want to work, study, meditate or exercise you will need to have the required energy to go through a day without tiring out. However, most people tend to wake up feeling pretty bad. So the real question here is what you, or anyone for that matter, can do about it?

If feeling fresh every morning is all you care about then these 5 tips will help you do just that:

1.     Avoid Chocolate, Red Wine and Coffee Before Bed Time

If you want to wake up fresh you need to get a good night’s sleep first. One of the best ways of making this possible is to avoid agitating your gut. It is important you keep it happy throughout the night.

Chocolate, red wine and coffee have been scientifically proven to disturb sleep more than any other food you can think of. They negatively affect the intestines – to an extent that you will either become a light sleeper – or will wake up constantly. This, in turn, will prevent you from getting the energy you need for the next day since you do not get to recharge at all. If possible, avoid having any of these foods after lunch.

2.     Make Sure Your Sleeping Pattern is Consistent

People assume putting in hours of sleep will get the job done, but that is not true at all. What is really important is that you sleep at the exact same time and wake up at the exact same time every day.

Believe it or not, not everyone needs eight of hours of sleep. In fact, some can do just fine with six to seven hours of sleep. There are some that feel groggy or tired even if they slept for eight hours or more, so you have to figure out how much sleep works for you.

Once you figure out how much sleep you require you will need to sleep at a specific time at night. You should avoid all distractions, even if it requires missing out on your favorite TV shows – to go to bed at let’s say 11:00 PM every night. After some time, set up alarms for the same time every day – Yes, this includes weekends as well.

Noise can affect your sleep and can actually shorten your life! The roaring traffic and screaming police cars take a toll on your nervous system by causing you to wake up during the night, putting your body through a lot of stress.

Do whatever it takes to keep your room quiet. If that is not possible try some earplugs. You can easily find earplugs that cancel out certain sounds but you can still hear the baby monitor or alarm next to you.

3.     Keep the Window Open When Asleep

One of the best things you can do for your health is to keep the window open just a bit while you sleep. The purpose of doing so has two benefits:

  1. By leaving the window open, it allows the carbon dioxide in your room to escape. Since the human body breathes out to get rid of carbon dioxide, which is a lot more during the night, this is an effective way to get rid of the poisonous gas.
  2. It allows oxygen to enter your roam, which also aids in regulating the temperature of your room.

4.     Motivate Yourself Each Day

A great way to wake up fresh every morning is to have something to be excited about. If you get up to go to a job you despise you will not be wake up with the same vigor. But, if you have something you enjoy and look forward to, you will be happier waking up.

Of course, if your job is not something you look forward to then you should consider finding one which makes you happy. If that is not possible, indulge in some activity that makes you happy every morning. The idea here is to start your day by doing something fun instead of feeling miserable!

–   Drink Lots of Water

By drinking lots of water, you not only keep yourself hydrated, but you can stop yourself from overeating.

–   Have Fruits Daily

Fruits are rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, so try to get as much of them as you can by having at least one fruit of your choice daily.

–   Use Gels and Soaps

This is more of a necessity especially during summers. They will keep your skin cool and fresh throughout the day. You can carry your choice of antiperspirants or Aspel deodorants to avoid any embarrassing social situations.

–   Wash Your Hair Daily

Contrary to popular belief, washing your hair daily will not damage it. Although you do not need to shampoo it every day as dry rinsing your hair works just fine.

–   Wear Fresh Clothes

While you may be tempted to wear the same pair of jeans the entire week, it would be a better idea to wear fresh clothes daily. If not at least alternate the clothes you wear so you don’t become predictable.

Each of the tips mentioned above work and if you are really serious about bringing a positive change in your life, you better adopt them as soon as possible. It will be difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it you will realize you can reach your goals more easily than ever before.
