Most people never want to get old. When you look in the mirror at 35 and see small lines and wrinkles, you’ll realize that the flawless skin you had at 18 is a distant memory. It’s hard for men and women to come to the realization that they’re getting old.

Anti-aging creams often become a top choice to turn back the clock, but a lot of these products aren’t worth the cost.

These ingredients have been shown to reverse aging, and they actually work.

1. Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a very important ingredient that a lot of people tend to overlook. What you may not know is that this ingredient is natural. You see, aging causes the natural level of the acid in your skin to decline.

That’s why when people ask “what is the best night cream for anti aging?,” experts will claim that it’s a cream with hyaluronic acid.

Naturally present in skin, the acid will help your skin maintain and attract moisture. As the acid level declines, it results in your skin losing its plumpness and smoothness.

Tip: Try and choose an anti-aging cream that features micro hyaluronic acid in it. Micro molecules are smaller and have a much easier time penetrating the skin.

2. Resveratrol

Resveratrol is an extremely powerful anti-aging ingredient that comes from grapevine stalks and other fruits. The ingredient is a natural antioxidant for the skin removing free radicals in the process.

When combined with vitamin E, a potent vitamin, this ingredient also boosts the antioxidant power of the ingredients and has been shown to improve:

·         Skin elasticity

·         Skin firmness

You’ll find many combo products containing both of the first two ingredients on this list. There’s also research the points to resveratrol protecting against diseases of aging.

3. Retinol

Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A, and it has been shown to be among the best anti-aging ingredients known to Yale’s School of Medicine. The ingredient works in a few ways to keep the skin looking and feeling young. It:

·         Boosts collagen production

·         Promotes cellular repair

·         Eliminates dead cells to eliminate dull skin

·         Increases cell turnover

Retinol is a superb anti-aging ingredient that makes the skin look younger and healthier.

4. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is for more than just your immune system. This potent vitamin is an antioxidant, and it has been linked to protecting your skin from sun damage. Vitamin C, if it’s in the ingredients, also means a little extra work for you.

When this vitamin is present, you’ll need to store your product differently.

Storing requires you to keep the cream locked tight to protect it from air exposure. Sunlight will also degrade the vitamin C, so it needs to be kept in a dark place away from sunlight.

Keep in mind that these are just a few of the ingredients that will make your skin look younger. You’ll also benefit from other ingredients, such as:

·         Grape seed extract

·         Peptides

·         Tea extracts

·         Niacinamide

Your goal is to restore your skin’s elasticity, add moisture to the skin and return the plumpness that is lost over time. The right anti-aging cream offers all of these benefits.

This article will make my Pinterest board more interesting, because you’re right! Men and women are still looking for that fountain of youth!! I have heard of the Grapeseed extract and the tea extracts, but not the other options. I used to want to recapture some of my youthful look, but not since I went through a huge regiment to save my life! Then all I wanted was to live! Sometimes people over do it and look worse than what they used to like Melanie Griffith. The work done on her face is a plastic surgeon’s nightmare!! Thank you for sharing!
