LeapTV Educational Active Video Gaming System#LeapFrog & MommyParties

This weekend we had a chance to have a small MommyParty sponsored by LeapFrog. We had to cancel the actual party due to the loss of a loved one but the boys still wanted to play and test the new LeapTV system game out.

When we opened the box we saw everything we needed to get this system up and ready and to be honest it was quite easy to set-up.

I can say the LeapTV system is an awesome video gaming system that will help keep your children active and entertained. Built for ages 3-8 years old it’s not only fun for your child but very educational. The LeapTV system was created to teach your kids movement  as they play, dance and jump. It’s a lot of fun and the LeapTV system has a library of 9 cartridge games  at launch and 100+ LeapFrog educator-approved games and videos available by year-end, the kids will have lots of fun.

Once we got everything set up the system, Jordan allowed the system to scan his body, then next Jalen had to allow the system to do the same thing with scanning his body and adding their name and information. This way the system would know which child is playing according to their body form. It has a small controller that has been designed just right for your child’s hand and it also has an motion-sensing camera interface which is easy to use as well.

I can say the games had great audio instructions that makes it simple for even the youngest kids to play solo or with a friend! After we got everything ready Jalen and Jordan were excited and ready to play, once they saw themselves on the screen they really couldn’t wait, Jordan was all over the place pointing and waving around he was fascinated by seeing himself on the television you could see it in his eyes. The system came with two games Dance and Learn & Sports video games and we tried each game!

They both played a few games and I think Jordan didn’t want to allow anyone else to play he was dominating the system from us all by playing the soccer game…LOL. 

I really like the LeapTV for so many reasons, it gets kids off the couch and off those electronics and they have the opportunity to move and jump around, it helps with teaching your children how to engage with one another, it teaches reading, mathematics, science and problem solving so it’s really great for preschoolers as well . The kids will definitely have a blast and they will be entertained for hours.

The LeapTV is a family oriented gaming system that even Mom and Dad can join in. Everyone can  learn and play and have lots of fun. Even though the kids and I had such a bad day with the loss of their Aunt we still had a great LeapFrog party. It may not have been big like we had originally scheduled, but it still was a lot of fun!! Afterwards we had pizza and played some more. I thanks LeapFrog  for keeping my kids happy on a day when they really needed to be stress free.
