Wonder Forge Games: Gifts for the Holidays
Remember when we were little, we used to use our imaginations every day to make playtime extra special. We would make up stories with our friends, act them out and get everyone involved with our imaginary fun!
Wonder Forge makes a variety of games for children to let their imaginations run wild! The three games I am going to tell you about are Disney Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur Roarin’ River, Eye Found It! Journey Through Time, and Disney’s Imagicademy Storymation Studio.
All three games are for children ages 4 and up. Each one of them are good for multiple children to play together, or with the Storymation Studio, a child can play alone.
Disney Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur Roarin’ River is a board game. The board not only is 3 foot long when it’s complete, but the board changes every time the child plays it! Kids are to escape the rapids in a game that can change while you play! This is a game of counting and team work where you are to race the rapids, not getting caught in the water. You have to help your other players so that no one gets washed away! It’s a game for a smaller child, learning to count and play well with others. The cute little dinosaurs make the game fun and exciting!
Eye Found It! is a hidden pictures game where the players are moving through time to figure out what caused the great dinosaur extinction. There are wormholes, searches and one ways. This is a fun game for kids ages 4 and up. My teenager had a ball with it! The pictures are clear and animated. This will give your kids hours and hours of play throughout all times in history, including the prehistoric era, ancient Egypt, medieval times, age of piracy, the wild west, present day and the future! Note: the game board is 6 foot long and to play, you’ll need plenty of floor space!
Storymation Studio is not a board game. It’s an animation kit! Kids can make their own movies with this kit. They can use the Minnie and Mickey figures, the paper (cardboard) figures that are provided, or they can make their own figures out of the provided modeling clay. The kit is all contained in the carrying case, which also has molds for clay accessories. This kit is amazing and easy. There are directions in which you can follow, or the child can make up their own stories and steps. It’s approved for children 4 and up, they can play alone or with their friends.
I love these games. They are not difficult to understand or play, they have easy directions and the best part is that the children are playing and imagining, learning to share, and can spend hours entertaining themselves.
