Winning Moves Games Review: Candy Land and More

Winning Moves reminds me of games from my childhood, at least, two stick out in my mind.  Two of them are Candy Land and Chutes & Ladders. They each have great qualities such as colors and counting.  Another fun game is the Velveteen Rabbit.

One of the things I have been enjoying is playing Uncle Wiggly with my five-year-old granddaughter.  This game is also offered by Winning Moves and has proven to be a time of making memories.  Emma has learned that she has to wait to take her turn, that sometimes you have to go ‘back a few steps’ due to sneezing or falling down a rabbit hole.

We are in a world of electronics, texting, YouTube and online games.  Being able to share with my granddaughter what it was like in my childhood is awesome.  Winning Moves has allowed me to get my hands on games that involve nothing to do with electronics, and everything to do with pure fun.

My children loved to play CandyLand and Chutes & Ladders. I’ve never seen The Velveteen Rabbit Game. My grandkids and their cousins would have fun playing these games.

I loved playing Candyland and Chutes & Ladders with my boys. I never heard of the Velveteen Rabbit game but I’m sure it’s just as fun. I used Candyland to help both of them learn their colors and Chutes & Ladders to learn to count. My Candyland and Chutes & Ladders are in really rough shape. Would love new ones to play with the grandkids someday.

I remember playing Chutes and Ladders and Candyland as a small child, but I never knew there was a Velveteen Rabbit game. Is it new?

Our kids and now our grandkids love playing Chutes & Ladders & Candyland. But I have to admit that I have never heard of a game called Velveteen Rabbit. I know they would like that game also!!

Ooh, I never knew about the Velveteen Rabbit board game! The other 2 are such classics, great gifts for every family (and they often wear out quickly, so extra sets are useful if played a lot). But I would love to see and try the Velveteen Rabbit as it has a special memory in my heart too from childhood. 🙂
