Unilever Spreads Holiday Cheer, its a Good To Know BakeGiveaway
Well its the Holiday Season and this is the time of year where I know for me we do a lot of baking. My kids and husband love it when I take out a few hours during the weekend to make some tasty goodies. I have been asked to change it up this Holiday by Unilever with baking my goods, making a choice of soft spreads, including Country Crock, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, Promise, Brummel & Brown, and Imperial.
I’m so use to adding my oils, I’m sure this will be a true challenge for me. My family and I did a coin toss to see as to which spread we would try out. My husband won the toss, he likes Country Crock so that was the soft spread we would use.
We chose to do our baking last night because the kids came over and we had another movie night. Home Alone was on so I figured this would be the best time to bake homemade peanut butter cookies. I went to the store and grabbed everything I needed to do this challenge, courtesy of Unilever!
Unilever sent me a “Good To Know” baking set:
Silpat® baking sheet liner
Steel Cooling Rack
Nonstick cookie sheet
Stainless steel cookie scoop
$10 gift card to purchase your Unilever spread of choice and baking ingredients
So I had my daughter help me prepare all the ingredients for the cookies. I even had to write some of it down since it’s been a while since I had made homemade peanut butter cookies. *smiling*
As you see I used my Country Crock spread along with other ingredients. It was now time to scoop the cookies out.
This Non Stick Vinyl Silpat mat is Awesome. We scooped out the cookie dough and layered them on the non stick mat.
OK, here is the result of the cookies made with the Country Crock Spread.
Go ahead you can say it, don’t they look GOOD! I tried to make the imprint with my fork but some of them , well it didn’t work. LOL!
Now as for the taste of these peanut butter cookies with me using the Country Crock Spread, can you say MMM, MMM Good! They melted right in your mouth. The spread made them taste a little more buttery to me and very tasty. It’s like the spread gave them that added kick very moist too.
The kids and I enjoyed them with a tall glass of milk. So if I had to say using a spread like Country Crock, Imperial, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter or any spread really helped with my baking. I will be adding more spreads to my baking this Holiday Season!
So many great benefits when your baking with soft spreads:
Have 0g trans fat per serving

Your able to bake your goodies with a better option for using soft spreads. No fatty butter just a good tasty snack that will keep everyone coming back!

I use I can’t believe it’s not butter for baking. For spreading I use country crock. Thanks for this giveaway!
I use Country Crock in all my baking. My mother used it to make all of her baked goodies, so it is certainly a necessity! I have big “baking” shoes to fill!

I’d probably use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. But I guess it’d depend on what’s at the front of the butter display LOL
