September Is Emergency Preparedness Month, stay prepared with Motorola Talkabout T280 @MotoSolutions

Here in Michigan and actually across the world many are preparing for September Emergency Preparedness Month. Well, at least me and my family and friends are, you see many potential storms, earthquakes, tsunami’s and other weather hazards are occurring.

With the summer season upon us the best thing to do is always try to be prepared for any emergency or disaster no matter what the season maybe.

For many years my family and I have been updating our emergency plans with stocking up on food, bandages, water, flashlights, batteries, candles, and communication devices.

So, when I saw that Motorola had a Talkabout T280 communication device I became real excited. You see every home needs to stay connected with a reliable, functional, communication device just in case something happens.

The Motorola Talkabout T280 will keep you updated with real-time weather conditions by turning on one of 11 weather channels or initiating weather alerts. NOAA radio service may not be available in all areas. Check with your local weather office for frequency and details. With 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, totaling 2,662 combinations, it’s easy to find an available channel to check out the weather.

The Motorola Talkabout T280 will arrive to your home in a nice secured soft red carrying case.

Inside your case you will find two Talkabout T280 radios, two sets of 800 mAh NiMH (AA) batteries, two clips to added to the back of your Talkabout T280 radios, a manual, and YCable charging adaptor with dual Micro-USB connectors.

There are two ways to power your Talkabout T280 radio: use the included NiMH rechargeable batteries for up to 12 hours or use 3 AA batteries for up to 29 hours. To recharge the NiMH batteries, choose from one of three ways: connect it to your vehicle adaptor or your computer, or plug the micro-USB cable into an outlet.

There are so many great features to using these awesome Talkabout T28o radios.

  • I love that this model offers two ways to charge it. We’ve stopped buying batteries and only have rechargeables now.

  • So many things I really like about this…rechargeable batteries included that can charge in the car such a big plus when the power is out; the weather channels; the speakerphone ; the case to keep it all together. They thought of everything. What a great set for emergencies and even for camping and fun.

  • These Motorola Talkabouts are a great item to include in your Emergency Preparedness Kit. It is good for so many reasons. I would keep one in each car, or carry if an emergency is imminent. Like we have a hurricane heading our way right now and we don’t know where it’s going to hit, it would be great to have these right now so we can keep up with each other in case we are separated.
