Roominate- The Best Imaginative Play Toys

Roominate is a new and up and coming building toy for girls. In fact, it’s what we’re calling the best imaginative play toys!

Did you know?

Women make up half the population, but only one-sixth of engineers.

Girls start losing confidence in math and science in middle school and earlier.

Girls who develop spatial skills are more likely to consider a future in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

Roominate makes STEM fun! They encourage creativity and learning at the same time with the use of parts like spinning fans, wire working circuits, and flashing lights. Roominate Inspires Imaginative Play!

I was thrilled to receive a sample Roominate Chateau building kit for my girls, ages 9 and 12, to try out. It includes 131 pieces of building fun, and is compatible with all other Roominate products. Right away my girls were excited about all the possibilities of what they could make, and got right to work creating a one of a kind structure. (They even brought their Polly Pockets out to check it out!).

Roominate has three sets at present:

Roominate Studio– $29.99

Roominate- The Best Imaginative Play Toys

Roominate Chateau– $49.99

Roominate- The Best Imaginative Play Toys

Roominate Estate– $99.99

You can also purchase an additional Circuits Pack, Architects Pack, and Activity Guide for $19.99 each.

About Roominate

Roominate was created by two Stanford Engineering grads and friends, Alice Brooks and Benita Chen, who saw a need for girls toys that encouraged developmental and problem solving skills, and confidence with technology. By using modular furniture building with pieces and walls, motor and light circuits, and a unique blend of design, crafts, storytelling, building, circuits, and creativity, Roominate not only teaches kids while they play but empowers them to build amazing creations!

There is even a place on the company website where young inventors can share their creations, which is very cool! Just email them your photo or upload a video to YouTube and the Roominate team will post it on their website! In addition, there is a how-to page where you can find ideas and inspiration for your own creations.

Last but not least, Roominate has appeared on the Hit TV show Shark Tank (my favorite show!) They managed to score a deal with Mark Cuban and Lori Grenier!

I had not heard of this until now, this sounds like a wonderful thing for girls and I know my daughter would love it! She had received a similar thing last year for her birthday and she still plays with it.
