Parents, have you done this?

Looking at this photo above made me think and ask many moms….have you done this? So many children everyday wet there beds as a matter of fact there are over 13 million children who suffer from incontinence. So many moms are dealing with this and really haven’t  found the right solution to helping their children. Do you find it much easier to throw that towel over the peed -on sheets or do you wake up your child and clean the soiled linen and clothing.

I took a poll on Facebook and Twitter to see how many moms have done this and you’ll be surprised to know that over half of the mom’s I spoke with threw the towel over the peed-on sheets and allow their children to go back to bed!

Do you find this type of action 1) convenient
                                               2) lazy
                                               3) poor hygiene
                                               4) unsanitary

Well personally I find all the above to be correct in one form or another but you must also keep in mind that if a child is wetting constantly it’s time to seek medical attention. This will help your child’s physician rule out any  medical problems! As a retired nurse and someone who has been studying incontinence in children for over 5 years. I know there are many solutions to help parents and their children. It is important to implement  solutions that will help your child not hinder them. Now please understand I’m not bashing any mom for using this method for I’m a mom myself! I know things can get hectic for us all especially during the night with our children. I just know that we must learn to practice  good sanitary methods that will keep our children free from germs and body rashes. We not only want our children to have a good night sleep, we also want them to have a dry night.

I am working hard everyday trying to get this new product out to our children called the Night Helper Potty Watch, this wonderful devices has been designed to assist your children throughout the night and day with incontinence. Giving your child a good night sleep as well as a dry night. No more worries for us moms let alone the child.

Holy crap, that picture is so me! To make matters worse, sometimes I forget I put the towel to cover the spot not to stop a leak in the first place and I don’t wash the sheets in a timely matter.

Following you from the Weekday Blog Hop!

    Cheers!

My kids have done it twice when they were small and I have actually taken the trouble to get up and change sheets. I have rubber sheet under the sheet so that the mattress does not get wet. Following you. Hope you can visit me too and follow if you like.

New follower from Exposure 99% weekday hop. I think this watch is a great idea and would help kids learn this milestone faster. I still remember those days when I had to potty train mine… wish I knew about this then

I suffered from incontinence til I was 15 years old. I never got that signal in my brain that I had to pee. I’d wake up to wet sheets and wonder “when did this happen?!”. It wasn’t because I was lazy. Turns out I was suffering from kidney failure!

I’m following you from the Say Hi Sunday hop. Would love for you to stop by and follow back, whenever you get the chance! Hope you have a good rest of the week! (:
