As a child I have always been fascinated with the Roller Derby Skaters, I would sit around early in the mornings during the holidays watching that show with my sisters, mind you it was 9 girls and 4 boys in my family so while the boys were out  shoveling snow with dad us girls would be inside with our pj’s and coco watching TV and watching mom bake.

I can still remember to this day when mom would tell us its time for the Hudson Parade, everyone would run into the living room so we could watch it as a family. WOW, it was like nothing we had ever seen before all the exquisite details just blew us away from all the designs of the unique characters to all the cool hot balloons and lights but most of all we got to see Santa at the end.

OMGoodness, after it was over and we saw Santa arrive telling every boy and girl to be good and he’s been reading our list and remember he has the key to every child’s home….we all jumped with joy can you imagine our home? 13 kids shouting and screaming with joy as though he was talking right to us.

I didn’t care what anyone else had on their list all I wanted was a pair of Roller Derby Skates. So afterwards we all started helping mom bake and cook for our guest and while I was in the kitchen I said Mom, I sure hope Santa read my list I really want a pair of skates so I can be like the Roller Derby girls, I can still hear  her to this day saying , well you’ll just have to wait and see!

Well Christmas came and on that day I saw so many big boxes, I mean presents were everywhere even at the door that’s just how much stuff was under the tree but most of all I opened my box and there they were a nice pair of Pink and White Skates, I fell to my knees and cried then I rushed over to MOM and Dad and hugged them both soooo tight.

Looking for that special new hot  toy is easy as one, two , three  for your child this Christmas just visit your local Walmart store! If you want to see the new hottest toys this season visit one of Walmart’s Holiday Toyland Events that’s happening at participating Walmart during November and December.

I will be heading to Walmart on November 21 from 12pm-4pm.  I hope to be able to see some of those cool toys and get some great deals and skates for my girls.

Tell me what’s your favorite Christmas Memory?

  • One year I got a baby sister for Christmas. I love her but we had to wait for my mom to get home from the hospital to open presents.

  • Wait…13 kids?????? Wow! Loved those skates that you got. I have very fond memories of going to skating rinks every Saturday, skating with friends and eating those huge dill pickles that only cost 5 cents. Good times!
