Mommy MD Guide, Your Baby’s First Year book review!

Now that the baby is here, what’s next many moms may say? Mommy MD Guides has created a series of knowledgeable books to help that new mom out. Having a baby is such a wonderful gift, the smiles, the smell of a newborn, the joy of the whole experience is Awesome but your Baby’s First Year can put a strain on any Mom.

Mommy MD Guide book helps you through those difficult times. Times when you feel so alone or not knowing what to do when your baby is sick. I enjoyed reading their book. It has some very important medical advise and tips, all written by well known Doctors who collaborated in bringing these books to life.

I had a chance to share a few tips from Mommy MD Guide  yesterday to a mom who’s daughter was experiencing cradle cap very badly. I shared with her about a product recommended by the Doctors called “Gentle Naturals Cradle Cap Care” that helps to loosen the scales and does not irritate the baby’s skin.

There’s so much good information in this guide I wish I would have had something like this when my kids were born. I think my anxiety wouldn’t have been so bad! As mom’s, we want to make sure we are doing everything right and most of all that we can count on our physicians to assist us anytime.

The book even addresses vaccinations for your children, when shots are needed and how to comfort your child while the nurse is administering shots. Coping with crying and when to call Doctor when crying becomes inconsolable for your baby. They share the difference between a normal cry and a cry that shows signs of a serious problem. (Always call your childs physician if you need too)!

I really enjoyed Mommy MD Guide and I’m so proud of the Doctors that came together to write a book that addresses every Mom & Baby First Year concerns. Don’t worry dad, they even took a moment to addressing Nurturing Your Partnership. So often us moms consume ourselves with the baby needs and we sometimes forget about our dad’s. Love what Doctor Heather OrmanLubell, MD expressed……she is in the book quoted as saying….“Every so often wed put the kids to bed early so we had some quite time to ourselves“!  New Parents need to remember that!!

Overall this is a Wonderful book with lots of good knowledge and great tips. From the moment you start  reading , Dr. Rallie McAllister MD, MPH and Jennifer Bright Reich touch on many topics. When is the best time to call your baby’s pediatrician, breast feeding, what’s the right product for your baby, cold and allergies and much much more.

If you know a mom who already has given birth to her little one or is expecting!  I advise you to purchase this book for them so they too can feel the relief of  not worrying. Babies are so much joy and when you find that great book that helps to keep your life on track from birth to 12 months you have just found that diamond in the ruff.

  1. that is such a good book. I love the quote about getting the kids to bed early so you have some couple time. Funny thing is I just did that but my hubby is working the late shift but at least i get a breather for the time being. Anita Anderson
