Make Your Garden The Envy Of The Neighborhood.

Do you want your garden to stand out from the rest of the street? Perhaps you want to make your backyard the feature of your home that everyone talks about. If that’s the case, you need to consider adding some unique, interesting and exciting additions to your garden. There are plenty of different possibilities here whether you want to stay ‘au natural’ or benefit from the greatest tech and advances the market has available for your garden. But for now, let’s think about making your garden an artistic masterpiece.

Add A Sculpture Or Too

If you want to draw attention to your front garden, you might want to think about adding a stone statue or sculpture. You can buy these online and get them delivered straight to your garden which is a good thing, because they are rather heavy. You may also want to think twice about setting them up on grass. They’ll sink into the dirt, quickly creating a rather soggy mess. The best way to handle this would be to instead think about having an elevated platform for the sculpture. That way you can ensure it looks like the centerpiece of your garden.

They come in all different shapes and sizes. So, you can get one that looks like your favorite animal. Or, perhaps you’d rather have one that seems like a unique modern piece of art. It’s entirely your choice.

 Make Things More Comfortable

Of course, you might want to consider treating yourself with a new place for comfort in your back garden. A Jacuzzi would be the perfect example of this. With a Jacuzzi, you’ll have the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long, hard day at work. You’ll certainly attract the neighbor’s attention, that’s for sure. Before long, you’ll probably find that they have invited themselves around to join in the fun.

The only issue is that Jacuzzis mean stagnant water, so they do require a lot of maintenance to keep them clean and clear. Otherwise, you’ll wake up one morning to find your Jacuzzi looks quite a lot like an elevated swamp.

Add Some Life

Since we mentioned water features, why not consider adding a pond to your back garden. It’s easier than you think to build one and it’s a great way to give your backyard a little more life. You can get some stunning colorful fishes that are quite dazzling, making it the perfect talking piece of your home. You do need to keep your pond clean with a pond filter, but that’s really all the maintenance it needs. As such, a pond, while spectacular doesn’t need that much time spent on it. So, it’s perfect if you have quite a busy lifestyle and only want to attend to it thoroughly when you complete a spot of gardening.

Cooking Outdoors

Or alternatively, you might want to think about being a tad bolder with a completely outdoor kitchen. Okay, it’s not the most natural way of improving your garden, but with the right design, it could be absolutely spectacular plus you can always add Solar Path Lights.

  • I would love to have my own extravagant backyard. I am in Bocas and I am so inspired to do a boho zen tropical inspired decor. An outdoor kitchen and bar would be amazing!

  • Good looking landscaping is a big deal in a kind of neighborhood we are in now. Everyone is like well manicured by professional landscaper. We all know it can be so expensive to hire someone to maintain your front and backyard. So as much as possible my husband and I spend at least hours on a weekend keeping our mower short and yard cleans. I love all the Garden ideas listed above esp the one with Gazebo and outdoor dining.

  • That grilling and cooking area looks like a dream! In the summer, we spend 80% of our time during the day outdoors. I love looking at fairy gardens on etsy. When my children get a little older, I would love to set them up outside. The statues are a great touch and I love seeing the animals who live in my backyard: squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, an outdoor cat (feral), and many birds.

  • I’d so love to have an outdoor cooking space. Maybe not as extravagant as the one in the photo, but we do so much entertaining that it would make life nicer. I also love when people add little sculptures around in their yards and garden. Mostly because they all seem to have a story and it’s fun to ask about them. x

  • Oh we are trying!! It is hard work. I wish I could say we have green thumbs but we do not. Our veggies and flowers are doing quite well this year but so are all the weeds!! Grrr! Great tips!

  • We have a pond in our backyard from the previous owners and I’ve been dreading doing something with it. I thought for sure it would be more work than I could handle. Now, you have me wanted to actually do something with it if all I need is a filter.

  • Having cooking equipment outdoor is definitely a must especially for families who do enjoy dining and drinking under the sun. It’s a chill place where smooth conversations can be made. I like seeing a pond with koi fish in a garden as well.

  • Those outdoor eating spaces look absolutely superb! I think adding statues to a backyard would be a really nice touch for a garden. They don’t have to be big – just beautiful ones to make a statement!
