How To Solve The Biggest Problems With Our Hair

For a lot of us, our hair is a big part of our look and when things aren’t quite going right, it can be quite the emotional experience. From hair loss or damaged hair, to scalp issues and lifeless locks, there’s a whole host of things we battle with on a daily basis and while some are simple to solve or manage, others can seem much more complicated. At some point you end up damaging your hair instead of nourishing it. A quick visit to a reliable hair products review website such as Hair and Makeup Girl is always worth a try. To give a helping hand to those looking for the solutions to their issues, we’re taking a look at some of the most common issues we face with our hair and how you can solve them! Read on to find out more.

Hair Loss

Hair loss is perhaps the most emotionally distressing problem on this entire list. While we all lose around 100 strands of hair a day without a problem, those of us who are losing an above-average amount to the point where it’s beginning to show are desperately searching for a solution. One option is to opt for a hair transplant in Turkey, London or pretty much anywhere in the world with a good reputation for hair transplants. As scary as the procedures may sound, technology has streamlined the process considerably, meaning less scarring and less downtime so you can get back to your daily life with minimal fuss.

Dandruff

Our scalp plays a huge part in the overall health of our hair and so, of course, taking care of it is a must. If you’re suffering from dandruff, your scalp is dry which could ultimately lead to weaker hair overall and so solving the problem and keeping up a good scalp care routine is a must. Of course, there are other causes of dandruff too, including a build-up of yeast or fungus on the scalp, but in general, dandruff-targeting shampoos do wonders for fixing the issue. If the issue is particularly bad, a visit to your GP is probably best, as they’ll be able to direct you to the right shampoos and treatments for your situation.

Oily Scalp

An oily scalp can be just as big of an issue as a dry one, especially when it comes to washing our hair every single day. Walking around with ‘greasy’ hair is something that most of us want to avoid, but washing our hair every single day can actually make the problem worse, especially when using moisturizing products. Your hair is probably already in great condition considering all of the natural oils it gets, you don’t need to moisturize it anymore! If you’re concerned, however, you could opt for using two different shampoos – a low-moisturizing one for your roots and scalp, and a slightly more nourishing one for your ends.

Split Ends

Our hair goes through a lot, and so split ends are pretty much a given part of life. However, there are ways to prevent this particular hair issue. For a start, you could opt for reducing the amount that you style and apply heat to your hair. Using a heat protective spray can certainly help, but maybe skip the straighteners a few times in a week to give your hair a rest. Leave in conditioners can also work to protect your hair from split ends. There are plenty on the market today, so why not give one a try to see what suits your hair best?

Breakage

Hair breakage is another issue that we all have to deal with. Between heat styling, tying it up and even brushing it while wet, our hair goes through quite the challenge on a daily basis. Even the strongest strands stand at risk of breaking! Of course, dying your hair can also cause damage but luckily there are ways to protect and restore your hair after these breakages. Ask your stylist for an Olaplex treatment and where possible, consider using supplements and protecting sprays to prevent breakage in the future!

Our hair makes up a good chunk of how we look and so making sure we take good care of it is a must. From coating it in heat protectant sprays before styling, to making sure you suit the treatment to your hair type of scalp condition, you can help promote a much healthier care routine for your hair.
