Easy Sleeping Tips To Make Baby Happy!! #formula for happiness

Whew, lately Quincy has been one unhappy camper when it comes to bedtime. I’m just not sure why he feels the need to fight sleep like he do, its like he dreads to go to sleep every night and boy do it bring a lot of stress on everyone! With my schedule being busy daily, these nights can sometimes become overwhelming for the both of us.

I’ve looked for many ways to adjust his schedule and mine so that he can become a more happier baby before bed time.

Well, here are a few tips and tricks I found to help Quincy get to sleep.

1) Give baby a warm bath before bed time.

This works for me every time, we don’t use toys anymore. I simply talk to Quincy while I softly stroke him with his washcloth. It never fells, a warm bath and a gentle washing stroke always relaxes him and before you know he’s ready for bed!

2) I clear all toys off the bed so he won’t have anything to distract him.

This also works for us, having anything in the bed always distracts him so with the bed being free from toys he can now settle down to sleep.

3) Add a little natural  fragrance oil to your baby’s room.

Now, I learned this from another mom I know. She informed me to add a little lavender oil to Quincy room and it  worked. The all natural lavender oil scent resonated throughout his room which left his environment so relaxing. As you can see he slept good that night!

4) Make sure all PJ’s are comfortable and made of natural fibers, like cotton, to avoid irritation.

Keep in mind that sleepwear that isn’t flame-retardant (like jammies made of cotton) should fit snugly, according to the U.S. Consumer Products.

5) For those hot summer months let your child sleep free from PJ’s.

I found doing this for him works rather well! No pj’s for Quincy during the summer months helps him sleep pretty good. He’s not overheated , he can actually sleep good when he wears no pj’s  plus if it gets cool you can always add a cover when needed!quniicy22

  • I had five children. Only ONE of them was a non-sleeper. OH my gosh. I never ever knew you would get a kid like this. I never slept again until she left home at 18, I swear. LOL NOTHING worked. She just did not go to sleep easy and would fuss and wake up her siblings and make the whole thing a nightmare.
Good thing they do grow up….

  • The warm bath before bedtime is a great tip. Also, keeping the kids away from tv and computers for an hour or so before they turn in helps.
