My kids are so funny when it comes to eating. They have a way of not wanting to eat something all because of the way it smells. If the scent is not pleasing to their nose they won’t eat that food. So when I was given the opportunity to cook with a few Gerber Baby products I was excited. I was hoping I could create something they just might like without me allowing them to smell it!
We received a selection of Gerber Baby items to create something tasty just for Jada!
My first thought was creating something cool and making a few muffins. So I gathered my ingredients I needed and poured them into a bowl, added my Gerber Lil’ Bits Banana Strawberry cereal to the bowl, mixed it all and pulled out my new little bitty muffin pans. I opened one yogurt Geber blend and placed it in a bowl also.
I mixed all my muffin ingredients together and before I knew it, I did it. I create a healthy banana muffin and a yogurt popsicle that everyone could try!
Viola here are my muffins and yes, I can say Jada enjoyed them very much. So much so she indulged in eating two muffins bits back to back. After Jada had her two the boys grabbed a few muffins and were shocked as to how they didn’t taste like the Gerber Lil Bit’s cereal. They couldn’t believe the muffins were made with baby food! These banana muffins were soft, sweet enough and of course healthy.
Next I created yogurt popsicles from the yogurt blends. I used the strawberry and banana flavor yogurt and once again they too turned out great too.
It took no time to make the yogurt popsicles. In making the yogurt popsicles the only thing I added was a cup of apple juice to loosen the consistency some.
As for the muffins my ingredients consist of:
1 cup of flour,
1 cup of Gerber oatmeal cereal (the banana/strawberry brand)
1 tsp of baking powder.
Mix up and put them in the oven at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
Within minutes, your kids will be enjoying a few bit size Gerber Lil Bits Banana & Strawberry muffins or a nice cool yogurt popsicle
