b;ackbox wineJust the other day I had the opportunity to try out Black Box Wine. I have always heard of Box Wine but I have to say I have never tried any before until now.

Let me share with you Black Box Wine story first then we can get into my review.

Black Box Wine Story: What’s the most delicious way to enjoy acclaimed wines without a hefty price tag? Lose the bottle. In 2003, Black Box Wines redefined the category by becoming the first U.S. vintner to offer super-premium, appellation-specific, vintage-dated wines in a box. Since then our expanding repertoire has earned 40 gold medals in wine competitions nationwide, yet still costs 40% less than comparable* bottled wines. Our superb grapes are harvested from world-class appellations, including California’s storied wine country and the acclaimed vineyards of Argentina and Chile. Through a meticulous, traditional winemaking process, Black Box Wines are crafted to be food-friendly and fruit-forward – all without the expense and fuss of bottled wines. So whether you crave sumptuous reds or crisp whites, you’ll delight in the quality and value inside every box.

Black Box Wine sent me two boxes, Malbec red wine and Riesling white wine. Now I know you may be wondering how do boxed wine taste and is it fresh?  Well  I will say this, it was very fresh and quite tasty. It is said that box wine stays fresh for about four weeks and of course we know its shatter proof because its in a box and yes, you can carry your box wine to any event or anywhere you wish just that easy.

I think Black Box Wine concept of adding their fabulous wine to a box is a great conscious decision that will also help the environment instead of using bottles. But most of all  taste is what really matters when it comes to box wine and I believe Black Box Wine has nailed it to the tee. Again the taste was very pleasing for me now I tested a sample on my husband without him knowing it was boxed wine and his reply was, if I had not shown him the box he would have never known it was boxed wine. I let him try both the white and the red wine and this was his reply; I enjoyed the red wine more so than the white while  I on the other hand enjoyed the white wine!

Either way Black Box Wines are great to serve to your guest whether its for entertaining or after dinner. Maybe you just want to sit back and relax with a glass of wine while your reading a good book you can do that also! Black Box Wine will be a good investment for any occasion, now you too can have the opportunity to enjoy Black Box Wine too!
